Wonderful set, I used two of these tracks in my Spooktober Jam project and they captured the Halloween party energy perfectly. Thank you!

Very fun! I found the premise quite interesting and the overall dialogue was well written. Unfortunate that it finished where it did but overall I had a good time. I do kind of wish for a little more in the way of audio design (such as footsteps, rustling, etc) but fully understand that this is a jam project and that kind of thing takes time. I look forward to playing the completed story! I think I have an idea as to who is the cause of the situation, but I guess I'll have to wait for the full release to find out, so I'll patiently wait with bated breath 'til then :)

have you ever heard of the ship of theseus?

but in all serious, a fascinating little project and commentary on our society's emphasis on looks in the face of the ever-cycling influencer trends. I've been having a bit of a rough time of it personally, so reaching the Frankenstein's Gift ending was a nice, yet humbling reminder.

Great work for a completely solo project!

From the outset, this game had me asking ‘what the hell is happening?’, in not a confused way, but in a genuinely scared, intrigued way.

Gaslighting always gives a stomach churning feeling of unreality and you’ve captured that wonderfully. I found my thoughts spinning multiple plates as I try to dissect the situation being presented, which is always good when you’re dealing with a mystery.

The emotions felt very real and vulnerable, from Tiana's lack of self-care, the way others seem to not quite understand, to the confused panic that takes place when the main issue rears its head. Although we only spend a little time with each character there's a genuine sense of history and relationship with each.

It's unfortunate that the game is in an unfinished state, and I could genuinely feel that as I reached the ending (third choice) with little conclusion. Unresolved endings are fine, but too few loose ends were tied here (I understand it's due to the time constraint and the hurricane situation). I'm looking forward to a more complete and polished release, because I feel like you've got something really special here with a lot of potential!

Are you planning a desktop release at any stage? I'd like to go back through and revisit my choices sometime.

Although I’m not Filipino, having Filipino friends has given me an interest in the culture, and being super into vampires was my initial pathway thanks to the mannangal. The story being set and covering the culture’s monster lore and food culture is really fascinating to experience, and having Jack as the introduction to such felt very genuine and sweet. The art style is very cute, and I like the mystery element of having to ‘figure out’ who you’re spending time with. This being contrasted with the nature of Em Cee does throw me off a little, but I think this is primarily a personal thing, as Emcee’s reactions make sense within the context of their presented personality and job.

Also, idk if it's intentional but Mamon’s jumpscare looked like Sans???

I do think in some instances the nature of the characters you’re about to meet could be a little more subtle, as for both Jack and Manon I had them clocked before even actually meeting them. I’m not sure how more mystery could be incorporated as there is something appealing about integrating their nature into their designs, but it kind of generated a sense of disingenuity due to the protagonist’s personality toward monsters and their job.

But overall a very enjoyable experience, thank you!

I had a great time! Plenty of little hidden details a curiosities, as well as some spooky imagery at times. Very cool!

thank you so much!

This is a very odd bug. Are there any other details you can provide, like your control scheme or operating system? I've never encountered anything like this or had this reported before so I'll need more info to try and replicate it.

In the meantime perhaps try switching from what you're using to an alternative (etc if using KBM try Gamepad) and seeing if it continues to occur. I can say there's nothing in the backend that causes forced continual movement outside of cutscenes so I'm inclined to think it's something interacting with the game rather than something in the game itself.

Slowly getting the character sprites done. About 2.5/6 completed, I started on the 15th as I spent the first part of the month doing script and engine work. The script is 90% done, mostly in engine but just needs some pacing refinement and whatnot (as I've just pasted it straight out of Scrivener).

Backgrounds are a bit of a struggle and music....don't ask. Lmao. I'm thinking of doing it myself but we'll see how I go for time!

I'm having fun though. I've been doing a lot of art practice recently and it's really coming across which is nice!
