Bad news guys
I just formatted my PC without realising the source file wasn't anywhere other than here. I thought I had a backup in my removable hard disk. Turns out it wasn't there.
What this means for the future
This game is now officially an abandonware. The game will have no further developments. It has been left the way it is. It is really frustrating for me. I was very, very sad when I realised I can't edit this anymore. There was so much I had to fix in the game - The ugly Arial font, the terrible 7th gen graphics, the poor video quality, the terrible menu and of course, the control of turning the ball into a hologram.
In such a condition I have only two choices. Either I can redo the entire game from scratch or I just have to deal with it and move on. The former isn't a feasible solution since the game was too big and I have to make other games too (currently I'm working on remaking the 1982 ET game). So it's in our interest that we just leave this game as it is and just enjoy it the way it is.
Final words
The Roll Game was the first game I ever made. The game that you see today was made in 2017. It was entirely programmed in JavaScript. Today Unity has removed JavaScript support and now only C# is available. So even if I had the game, I'd have to port the entire programming to a different language. So probably it would have been very difficult to update it to future versions. This is going to go down my legacy: The first thing that I made, the means of which I learnt Unity.
