"Emberfate" by WindChimes Studio (they are one of the lead programmers for Killer Chat too!) is phenomenal! It's on Itch and also Steam :p

Really enjoyable mechanics, I liked how the side characters' plots kinda mirrored the protagonist's at certain parts ^^

I did experience save/load issues, as well as all sounds that weren't background music disappearing during voice chats or voiced messages, on the 1.0 version, but I completely cleared the saves folder & started fresh on 1.1 (then upgraded to 1.2) and it went 100% smoothly!

I completed Misaki's "bad" ending, went back to the choice I suspected lead to her "good" ending, and immediately reloaded to reread the first one :') Their VA did an amazing job, their voice lines came across as really genuine :D

Looking forward to experiencing other character's routes soon <3

I got the feeling that it might be because of the jam rules right after writing my comment aha, thank you for the quick reply! Best wishes for the new update too, looking forward to keep replaying your story <3

Thank you for the update! Will this be added to the itch page's files too? :0 I don't always check the devlogs so I completely missed that the 1.0 wasn't the latest build when I downloaded initially ><

I already loved the previous version of the demo, but this is phenomenal <3 Thank you for your hard work!

Agh not sure if all of these will influence the ending since I just... Picked the opposite things compared to when I got the good end ^^'

Off the top of my head tho [SPOILERS]

  • just "hello"/"hi again" instead of the more happy greetings
  • be skeptical when the others complete their hacks ("all over a parking ticket?", "all this just for a childhood bet?", "think they'll cave?")
  • don't be excited to participate! Generally be dismissive and avoid picking things like "I'd love to help/call/chat"
  • No talking positively about the others in the server (so try insulting their nicknames or telling them they're being mean/annoying, say things like "They aren't exactly helping", avoid compliments and stuff like "I would've like to hang out more")
  • Towards odxny specifically, try to not be curious about what they say, and do not flirt lol. Options I remember picking during their calls: "What did you plan on buying?", "Just go outside and talk to people", "I thought you weren't a person", "That sounds very peaceful"
  • During the final day too, avoid options that show that you care if the server gets deleted (try instead "Say your prayers hacker scum!") and again, don't be excited to participate (avoid all the YAY and LET'S GO etc), mock the choice of T9

I hope you manage to get it eventually o7

[SPOILERS]

For the phone number, you'll see it in the irs.contacts table when you pull up odxyn's info!

And the seekLife ending is a good end but platonic instead of romantic... If you need help reaching it, always picking the first/top dialogue option every time should get you there!

Ah yes, my favorite flavor of person to flirt with: hacker programmer <3

Jokes aside, I loved the coding mechanic! I'm only familiar with basic web dev coding but SQL never seemed more approachable than here in seekL... Unironically made me want to deepen my knowledge about other languages (though ArnoldC is Intimidating to me, I love that esolangs exist)

Finally got all the endings too and I can safely say:
I will think about the bonus [redacted] for A WHILE. 10/10 performance ngl

I really appreciate this kind of story & what odxny is going through. Thanks to everyone on the team for crafting this work of art!

exec horn()

TL;DR flirting with death has never been more fun, 10/10

The story's pretty cute, but I also want to voice my appreciation for the details! The neighbors side plot? The functional (!) apps in the computer? The books/diary excerpts? Amazing work!!

Also, his little >:< blushing expression is THE BEST aha, I felt accomplished whenever I saw it. MC can be such a menace (affectionate) to him and I love that for them <3

I am so glad that I saw a reblog of this project's announcement because it's definitely one of my favorite VNs I ever read!
I liked the pacing, as well as the character sprites (so many cool details!), background art (I didn't expect the snow animation and I was so happy about it hehe, very nice touch!) and the music (I might be mistaken, but the tracks that played on the neutral/bad routes felt more eerie?). The lore about the deities and the demons and the different cultures was really interesting to learn, too. The variation that comes with the choices also kept me replaying multiple times... After which one can definitely understand better how the different "versions" of Heimos came to be in the legends!
I aimed for a friendship ending for my first playthrough, which was very sweet, then I did the bads and the neutral and finally treated myself to the rest of the good endings. Very very interesting to see all the differences! I personally found the neutral the most sad, the bad 1 fitting, and the bad 2 also sad but more so for Heimos... I adored all of the good endings, though my favorites were the friend end 1 and romantic end 2 <3
Great work about everything!

I don't know if it's this that you're referring to, but initially I also couldn't manage to save him even if Raum didn't harm him. I played around with it more and found out that if MC ignored Chris' phone call earlier then he survived and can join the team, but if MC answered it then he can survive the fight initially (I think there's a line about him making a sound as he's being freed) but he's not in the car after Sydero arrives... Maybe she doesn't grab him / wait for him to get in the car if she thinks that it was MC's fault?
