Cowboy Bloodborne was not the sort of game I was expecting to play today, nor was it a combination I ever thought of before, but you really hit the bullseye with this one. Great work!

The original release just didn't have enough content to warrant a price tag - you could get a (non-death) ending in 15 minutes if you know what you're doing, and even 100% completion requires you to pretty much play that same 15-minute window of content over again until you find everything.

Fresh Ingredients, on the other hand, easily has an hour's worth of content, even if you don't count secret hunting. $4 for an hour-long game is not a bad price at all.

I hate this mentality that, just because some other people published their videos first means you can't touch the topic. You can make the video just fine, and I'm sure your audience will still watch it even if you weren't the first one to the finish line.

It's not like you personally benefit from how well they promote their game. Why does it matter to you how many clicks they get?

While there are luckily no real obnoxious jumpscares (which is definitely a plus in my opinion), it is definitely at least vaguely in the realm of horror - the day segment is nice and chill, but once you get to nighttime you'll realize why the warning at the beginning of the game mentions gore and body horror.

The developer teased an Android release in a previous announcement post talking about bootlegs. I think it's probably coming after the DLC launch, once the game is in a more "complete" state.

That new description is something I'm not seeing many people talking about... a few noteworthy things I've noticed are as follows:

1. In the Pilot Episode's description, "Baking a pie" is listed as one of the episodes in the box set. This episode only appears here, and is never shown anywhere in any Pilot Episode version at all except an offhanded reference during the "Going to the store" episode (Amanda mentions wanting to bake a pie as the reason for getting the apples). Is it possible that "Baking a pie" was intentionally separated from the rest of the box set somewhere down the line? Maybe Aunt Kate found "Baking a pie" separate from the rest of the box set found by the guy in the Pilot Episode, or maybe she intentionally got rid of the rest after realizing how dangerous Amanda was. But, it didn't matter; by playing the first tape, she already summoned Amanda's interest - especially since more tapes seem to just... show up on their own under the right circumstances, it seems like it was already too late for her as soon as she pressed play.

2. In the description, you're using "they" pretty consistently when referring to this version's player character, Riley. Is it fair to assume they're meant to be non-binary?

It feels like it would be better if it were just a bit longer, a little bit more complicated. All the dead endings are quick and easy to obtain - a matter of interacting with 2 objects in the scenery, leaving not much in terms of gameplay - and the true ending felt a bit rushed. But, on the other hand, the artstyle is charming in its simplicity and it does tell an interesting story. I'd love to see a more fleshed-out version of this sometime in the future (whether it be through free updates over time or one bigger commercial release).

When I first booted up this game, I did not expect it to be as tense as it was. I actually jumped every time the Slender Man appeared, and the atmosphere was surprisingly tense for a Gameboy Color game. Overall, a very impressive demake of the original Slender: The Eight Pages. Is there any chance of us getting some additional Slender-based projects from you in this style?

I meant first or second on Google search when people google "Friday Night Funkin". Not when they google Newgrounds, because obviously, that would *always* be on the top of that search.

You think you're a real funnyman don't you? I will replace your bones with pool noodles.

I got all endings... overall, this wasn't bad, though I did find it somewhat lacking in the importance of choices. (Spoilers inbound.)

I'm honestly surprised the choice of whether or not to kill the attacker doesn't create a different ending. The difference in text is rather minimal, and the ending itself is considered the same as if she non-lethally restrains the attacker. If you plan on making more games in this style in the future, I'd like to see more consequences to individual choices beyond the relationship level.

Well, at the very least, I found a little more information for you... ninja_muffin said on their Twitter that Tankman will be released on Itch when Newgrounds is first or second on the Google search window.

I mean, whether he's "forbidding" it or not, he clearly doesn't want us to reupload it. I think we should respect his wishes - after all, we wouldn't have Week 7 at all if not for him.

You're gonna have to be patient. Week 7 is currently only on the Newgrounds version - this is mainly due to the fact that Tankman, the enemy of the week, is Newgrounds' current mascot. (Of course, since we kinda singlehandedly crashed Newgrounds' website, it's temporarily unavailable even there.)

It'll probably make its way to the Itch version in the future, but they'll probably want to get the Newgrounds version live again first.

Boyfriend gets literal blue balls when he dies, Senpai's dialogue is hella inappropriate before Roses, and one of the songs is literally called MILF. I don't think this game is meant for kids in the first place.

Interesting detail I noticed: The Jelliens in most of the game have a somewhat uniform eye appearance, being big and round. But during the Salty Spittoon segment, when Dennis shows up, his sunglasses seem to be smaller than the eyes of the Jelliens in the rest of the game - despite this, his eyes aren't visible behind them.

I haven't gotten further than that, so I don't know if this theory is contradicted later in the game, but from how it appears, Dennis might not be a Jellien. Perhaps he's working for them as a bounty hunter in exchange for his own life? I'm not sure - it's not a lot of evidence for the theory, but it's interesting to think about.

EDIT: Yep, I was right.

Slight correction: There is a way to pause the game, albeit an unintentional one. If you swap to a different tab, the game will stop running until you swap back.

When I started up the game, I got hit with intense frame drops. Google Chrome effectively froze up as soon as I started the tutorial. These issues took a solid minute or two to resolve, after which the game played alright (not great)... save for the fact that it also caused the audio to be delayed, and I think my inputs may have been delayed as well.

Is there any solution to this? If any of this information is relevant, I'm playing on a relatively low-end laptop (not sure the exact specs), with the browser version of the game.

I've never played Bloodborne before, but this game is pretty fun! I'll probably write a full review when I've played it more and also when it's not almost 2 AM in my time zone, but for now, just know I'm liking it.

I'm a bit late to the party, but I played this game from start to finish and I absolutely loved it.

The combination of the good ol' DOOM brutality with a Metroidvania approach to gameplay and level design equals an amazing experience all around. I could see myself having a lot of fun replaying this one in the future, looking for all the secrets I missed and trying to beat it at higher difficulties.

The Icon of Sin level in particular was amazingly done. The atmosphere is so different from the rest of the game... loved it!

Overall, amazing work, Calavera Studio!
