It's a good start. Here's what I think you could add. The characters' could use more animation (for both movement and fighting), the camera could pan/zoom in and out to keep the players within the screen, and add sound effects. I did notice a problem, where after an attack/block, the other player would disappear. Other than that it's a good star (again) :)

why thank you. Tbh this game was pretty rushed, but I slightly polished it to make it better. It could’ve had images in it, but adding them is frustratingly annoying, but this is what I can do. So then again, thanks 👍

oh cool! Thanks 👍

Yeah your right, asking someone to google something is rather dumb. I’ll fix it later, although I’m not entirely sure on how I could fix the “20xSquared” thing, as I only know a few things in twine (like music and text effects (shudder, rumble etc.)). I know about images, but adding them is frustratingly annoying, but thanks for the feedback I’ll re-adjust it soon :)

I may not have time to fix it for the jam, but I’m going to do it anyways. Thanks for the heads up 👍

(1 edit)

I may not read it immediately, but when the time comes (if I had to do a twine project again) I’ll keep this in mind. Thanks for both the feedback and the books you told me about. :). I’ll fix the errors that are in my twine game (re-sizing and correcting the answers). Although there may not be a point in doing this (because it’s for a game jam) I think we can all agree that it’s important to make a game polished, whether it’s big or small.

So then again, thanks for all this :) this is actually my first game to get comments on.
Plus I’m sure you’ll get a job in no time 🙂👍

Yes GraceHowell you are absolutely right. Although I was determined to get it done, I should’ve spent more time on my twine as a whole (questions, adding images etc.) rather than focusing all on the questions, because if anything it looks like rubbish. After all I could’ve just made it unfinished, but have images and all that on some of the topics to make it look less bland and boring.

The game was rushed, but it could’ve been more polished (like what you said) if I spent more time on it. Yes my teacher told me and the other students in my class to join this jam even though there was 5 days left, so to me the pressure was on. I was in hell when I was trying to add images (because I followed the guide but, it didn’t work) but that’s beside the point. If anything , I should’ve focused a bit more on the quality side...and double check my questions if they make sense.
