Late reply as well. But I did discover the setting independently, when mucking about with Genshin impact. Didn't occur to try it with Crisis point, though.

I did some more trying out and neither running with steam shut down or running through steam fixed the issue. Running without steam and DS4Win, the game didn't recognize the controller at all. All the other combinations of Steam and DS4Win had the same aiming issue. But I did discover that going to stationary aiming mode will lock the aim down. You can still aim to 45 degrees in either case though. And I kinda feel your pain if it's in the engine and not in your hands... I'll try mouse&keyboard, that's the way I played the 2019 demo way back when, which I really liked.
The game recognizes a PS5 controller right out of the box, major points for that, and it mostly works, but the X, square and circle buttons are mismatched and the R-stick is stuck to top at neutral, so while the controls can be remapped with a little difficulty, the game is unplayable as you can't aim. Also the D-pad doesn't do anything by default and movement is all on the L-stick, despite the prompts claiming otherwise.
Liking the look and the new mechanics are pretty good, but the movement controls in this update felt just scuffed, and makes timing sensitive traps unnecessarily annoying. Holding left, and releasing crouch should imo let you move left immediately, same for holding a movement key against an extended barrier.
The first thing that came up in my mind for collecting was magic anal beads. If the sanity/life meter doesn't pan out, maybe have the collectibles be a currency to unlock different outfits? Or if it's not too much work, make both common coins and rarer life gems, or is that too much feature creep and bloat?
If I bought at a half-off discount, doesn't it mean that I should get access to price tiers double what I paid. You don't get to call the new "20$-50%" tier the same as the old "10$ at full price" tier.
Edit: P.S. Don't use the prices after the discount to refer to the price tiers. Release day access is listed as 20$-50%=10$ until April 30th. It's shouldn't be equated to a "10$ purchase" if the product is listed to be on discount. Imagine buying a game on steam for -50%, and after the discount period ends you lose access until you pay the remaining 50%.
P.S. I wouldn't mind paying the difference, but itch doesn't seem to let one do that. So I'm left here feeling kinda cheated, because I thought I bought the full package at a discount, but now the only options seem to be to wait or pay "full price" again. Still, love the game, wouldn't be writing this otherwise.
