Fun little arcade game! Though like others have pointed out, it isn't inherently obvious which memory happened or not. For example, why does Abandoned Archive count as something that did? Jokes aside, it's a pretty solid concept, and the difficulty increasing over time is well done — I like how it matches the music loop.

Excellent puzzle game — the kind that's rather simple but makes you feel smart nonetheless. The graphics are very competently made (though Neuro's face looks very... let's say unconcerned), and I like the subtle touches, such as how blocks can obstruct the light of the torches in the background. The controls feel tight and intuitive, and the overall presentation is fairly unique from beginning to end, and matches the jam's theme perfectly!

This is a pretty solid platformer with a good amount of themed variety and a neat mix of 2D sprites and 3D environments! The movement offers the player different ways to clear most obstacles, which is great design — though it feels as though I am constantly drifting sideways when moving forward.

Still, I managed to get to the end of every level without too much difficulty (though the knifes got me more often than I care to admit). Too bad the endings don't work, but it can't be helped now. Overall, pretty decent game! I had fun playing it.

This game isn't easy — or at least, it's a fair bit harder than I first realized. The loss of progress upon defeat is indeed a design choice meant to keep the stakes high, but I can see how it could be frustrating. I've sprinkled a few easier substages here and there for that reason, but Stage 4 has a few mean ones in there. Either way, I'm glad you enjoyed the sights and sounds regardless!

Oh, and trying to beat this game on a trackpad would border on masochism, so I definitely recommend trying again later with a mouse!

I'm glad you like it so far! I've made the soundtrack available here:

Thanks for giving it a try! The game is indeed a bit intense, so I completely understand.

That's unfortunate! It looks like the JVM itself is crashing — this usually happens when trying to run software using OpenJDK instead of the normal JRE, so I'm not sure what the problem could be here. Well, thanks for trying!

Fair enough! And remember, it's the JRE you need (the green "Download Java" button on the website), not the JDK. Best of luck to you!

If anything, this game is definitely in line with the theme. Each puzzle is unique and thought-provoking, and well-supported by the ambient soundtrack — though like another comment already pointed out, the time limit is unclear and got me confused during the spiked floor section. Still, it was a short yet enjoyable experience!

Congratulations! I know the one — that exact substage filtered me during playtesting as well, but I decided to let the players feel some of Evil's pain.  Glad you enjoyed it and got to see the ending!

Hey, I tried downloading your game, but Defender didn't like it. Thought you'd like to know!

It certainly is one of the tougher ones, quick and measured — probably the second most difficult substage in the game after 4-12's serpentine path in my experience. Glad you enjoyed the rest, though!

This is high praise! To answer your question — I have a ton of experience in retro game development, and I use a game engine of my own making so my tools don't fight back. That my game resonated with you so deeply is more than I could have hoped for, though! Thank you for playing!

This game feels like a fever dream. The idea that each stream creates a new scene is interesting, and the challenge ramps up very quickly, but the controls — especially switching scenes — seem a bit unresponsive. The art is cute, though, and the creepy vibe is especially well done.

Sorry about that! Unfortunately, Java requires the Java runtime, just like C# requires the .NET runtime. It looks like you have an SDK installed (for developers), not a JRE (for users). Java 1.8 (aka Java 8) can be found on the official website: https://www.java.com

Glad to hear that you enjoyed the soundtrack! It certainly was a challenge to make.

The gameplay is relaxing, though victory is more of a 'when' than an 'if'. Gambling is always fun, though! I quite like the layered soundtrack, and the characters are very recognizable through a masterful use of minimalist graphics. Overall quite enjoyable!

Thank you for playing, and for the kind words! I would happily settle with top 100. Sorry about the difficulty — Stage 4 can be particularly mean. Don't hesitate to use the pause feature to reset a substage when running short on time. I hope the ending makes it worth the trouble!
