If youre coming from any other software area, i made a small tutorial on interfacing with a websocket server :)

https://razorsh4rk.github.io/tutorial/2020/06/12/dead-simple-multiplayer-with-godot-and-nodejs.html

when you set up the site theme, you can choose from google fonts

Yeah, it takes a bit of time to wake up the server, but your score counting stops at 0 :) Thanks a lot for playing !

Thanks for playing! You can refill your bombs if you return to the platform with Q :)

Oh no, the payment processor needed like 2 days to send me the card for some reason, sorry about that

Hello, congrats on winning the Fun category! Please leave your email in a reply so I can send you your prize :)

I think it’s fine, i can play it and I see other people can as well.

Send me the link to the game and your email address, I can open a late submission spot for you.

I can open a late submission spot for you, just leave a reply with the link to your game and your email address.

That’s okay

If you dynamically set the color to lighter/darker, it counts as one. If you go to your image editing program and recolor your image with a lighter color, that counts as a new color.

Any color, I count light as a modifier, not a full-on color. But really, don’t sweat it, if you have a good idea just go for it, the rules are not 100% set in stone as long as you mostly adhere to them.

It does now, i was in a call.

Shaders means that you can modify the colors ingame, like for example when you use eagle vision in assassin’s creed. You can also use shaders for visual effects like explosions, water ripple, whatever. For example, iof you have blue water, but a shader adds dynamic white foam and dark blue depth, that still counts as one color.

Light can be anything, yeah, it doesn’t matter if it brightens or darkens a color, it still counts as one.

It’s a virtual card, you will get the 16 numbers and the ccv that you would have on a real card

I mean, if you want, just specify it in the game’s description.

I mean, preferably, yeah. I’ll try to give out a vague theme that doesn’t restrict any creative ideas. Last time the theme was “transform”, so it’s really not specific.

Yes, the winners in both categories get a $5 prepaid visa card.

I would check files on my computer when that happens

This is the only place i will break character

This is more of a horror experience than a game. It knows it’s a computer program and it will mess with your computer. Don’t worry. If you want the full story, you will need to do some investigation. Some of the immersion is broken because i have no time to create a splash screen for example, but it’s 5am as i’m writing this.

There are no jumpscares.

Hey, congrats on your first place :) Please drop an email so i can send you the prize.

I wish i had unity’s particle system in godot. The game is really polished and plays great, i wish there was some hp indicator though.

sent a link in the reply

Very clever use of the theme, i also like the level design, puzzle games are usually hard to make :)

give me the link for the game and i can submit it for you i think

eh, there is no messaging here, my email is razorsh4rk [at] protonmail [dot] com

honestly, whenever you feel like its done, just make sure that people have time to rate it

This was deceptively hard! I love how the player controls, i just wish the balloon’s string wasn’t part of the hitbox, that tricked me a few times haha

I love that you used a spritesheet for this, the variety of the enemies is also a big +

Polish means how “done” is your game. For example, if you fall through platforms or get bugged into a wall, that’s not very polished. If you have nice effects, the sounds are fitting, for example your gun has a recoil and you can feel the force when you shoot, that’s very polished.

Yeah, it should be overall, my autocorrect is just dumb.

I’ll open a submission spot for you it’s okay :)

Eh, i knew game maker was bad but didnt expect this level of badness. I’ll make an exception for you, just export it to windows.

Linux is a computer OS. You can export to windows too if you want, just make sure you also export to one of the listed platforms. Here’s a tutorial for exporting from game maker.

https://www.yoyogames.com/blog/520/quickstart-on-exporting-and-sharing-your-game

yes, consider it VAT

Thanks a lot! I didnt want to cheat by extending the 48 hours, but once the jam is over i'll definitely add some time in the beginning.

Yeah, you gotta collect the torches for points. Thanks for trying it out :)

Thanks for playing :)
Added a small update, the monsters now spawn a bit further away from you so you shouldnt immediately die.

I got a very specific theme, but its really fun tbh
