I get to beat up an annoying celestial. 100/10.
Was pretty fun to figure out how the hell I am supposed to ask stuff. Sadly cannot guess wrong names, would be funnier if I said the name of someone she hates, y'know, make her frustrated.
Ok, so review time!
That was a nice 10 mins, but I'm just desperate for more good vn content, you can't starve me like this-
I mean I'm avidly waiting for the continuation!
Anyways, I really liked this demo so far, there's music that comes with the situations, which feels just so appropriate, like I don't know how you find this stuff, the tense panic-inducing sound as Koharu asks for the truth, before the sudden lighthearted shift after is just-
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Also, that's the loveliest lunch bell I've ever heard. The one on my school just threatens to rip out your eardrums with noise.
Additionally, I'd like to start paying you for your superb humor coz your comedy is just killing me 'if she asks me to jump I'd ask how high', 'about to be free from this mortal coil', 'LIES ESPECIALLY ON TAXES'-
I could not physically stop the laugh at 4 in the morning, and I might've woken up a few people, but those lines were just hilarious.
Unrelated rant on the chess game...but I feel like Komori(n) would play a standard game, king's pawn, since she feels like a passive player, maybe she gets out a standard development, with a slightly closed position on her end, but eventually blunders her queen to a fork. While Koharu definitely played something open, maybe a Scandinavian? Then sacrificing her pawns to open up the board, as I feel Komori(n) probably hasn't really learned about tactics yet (though tbh, neither have I).
Unrelated Unrelated, but even tho I really liked the GUI (its very pretty), the buttons aren't too clear, if it wouldn't be too much of a bother, could you have like a label cg at the start to like clarify things for people with poor pattern recognition- but I managed to figure it out eventually so maybe it's just a me thing. I liked the style!
Also I expected a selfie pic cg, it isn't there ;-;
I'll be waiting on this to finish, but no pressure, it'll be around a month or two till I have enough free time and privacy to do another visual novel.
Great work!
...
This, this is complex, and yet ever so meaningful.
I am, neither wise nor patient, nor even particularly interested in anything religious or political. But, even with what little intellect I do have, I can clearly see the general image, though it's not enough to fully grasp the depths of its symbolism.
A truly incredible adaptation, that sparks interesting question's within oneself, about god, politics and religion.
I'd like to read the book sometime.
The sound design, the graphics, the imagery and words, were all so compelling. Though pixelated, its quality was more than enough to give me sights that are recognizable and charming, and its message more than enough to give a 10/10.
But all together, this makes a solid 20/10 adaptation (on its own merits), though I haven't even touched the source material.
Great work, Developer.
Okay!
First off, I adore the character designs like Louisa is just so cute in her neat white dress that changes to a dark color once she breaks up which is a neat detail that went over my head the moment it happened, I was too busy worrying about the entire breakup thing.
I had hope for their relationship at the start, watching her slight obsession with him, the bitter tone of her memory, the warm feelings that she had, it was so nice to watch the start of it and how it progressed, despite the many signs that it wasn't gonna be, and the ghosts that represented her many doubts and voices were super cute, even if they caused a many most of her problems like, she got distant to Ruben because she listened even if she really didn't want to do it, made her starve herself... Cute little voices of malice that harm her in numerous terrible ways...
Seeing her suffer, enduring the pains of roaming the streets of Paris, starving and cold... was utterly heart breaking. AND RUBEN (somewhat justifiably) THOUGHT THAT SHE WAS FAKING IT-
Which kinda made me mad... she did a lot for him, though in ways that didn't really help if you look at it in a rational and sensible way, but it's the thought and emotion that counts for me and that has some merit to be considered. It's nice that she met those helpful strangers who helped her...
I think you, dear developer, have the unmatched skill of conveying the events and emotions within your story, which was just lovely, the burning passion of love, the despair, the self-doubt and criticism and the suffering of Louisa through her break-up journey.
And I absolutely love the ending, like Hope being represented as Louisa in a white dress, telling our dear protagonist to let it go, to move on, not berating her like the other voices, but listening and explaining to her, logically and rationally which I just find to be so sweet.
It's such a lovely game and I thank you for making it!
I'm sorry if I went on a bit of a rant (the post looks really long) I just found this game really nice...
Beautiful game. 15/10
I... have no words to speak that could reflect my feelings towards this story.
The soft background music, the awe you get as you watch the love story play out, the faint hope that it goes well... somehow.
An incredible work, the art, the story and the music were just amazing.
The cute little things that float were really adorable, despite their reprehensible actions...
Ending so quickly... yet appropriately, such a story of love and doubt, with a bittersweet tone and an optimistic outlook.
The message was absolutely lovely as well! Though I still feel for our dear protagonist, being a victim of her mind's machinations...
Makes me a bit sad that she did those things when she didn't even want to...
Lovely story, thanks for making it, dear developer!
I'd honestly like to talk about more, but I dunno how to use spoiler tags
This was a great game, I simply loved the calming music atmosphere and the sound effects that were there. The story has a really beautiful message as well, and I really liked Mafalda's somewhat mischievous attitude, though still rather helpful in the end. Kiko was simply phenomenal as well, with their strength and bravery to go out and meet Leo despite the circumstances and emotions that were there.
Good Work!
Your story telling skills are phenomenal.
11/10
This was good, the story and plot was pretty interesting. Pretty good game. The art was pretty too, but man I panicked when the CG's were locked and I corrupted the files and realized "Oh wait there were no CG's during the story".
Anticipating the CG's ... I want to see the ending CG quite badly, or the CG during the other scenes, please my imagination can only go so far-
anyways decent game 8/10
Not perfect, but would burn into memory willingly.
