its enough to make a grown man cry.

I haven’t read much of the replies in this thread so someone has probably stated this already. Whoever told you Itch is the same as Steam is completely wrong. Steam has become a big high grossing video game platform that have triple A games by professional studios published on it. (Ex. GTA, Fallout, Halo) If you’re a total indie dev, there is a $100 fee if you want to publish any type of game and a lengthy phase in which it needs to get reviewed by Valve. Itch is an entirely indie and free platform where you can upload anything at anytime. This is why you see so many unfiltered horror games bc I guess that’s what the community likes making and playing on here. Saying Itch is the same as Steam is like comparing Youtube to Netflix. One is complete user-generated content and the other is expensive entertainment.

Thanks so much!!!

The deep theme is very unique and gives you a lot to think about

Close, LSD works

Incredibly eerie... art style gave me the creeps and the maze was fun! However the controls are pretty janky. Still has great potential :))

Face a three week journey across the Appalachian mountains and confront a wise mythical giant to guide and enlighten you on your adventure. Take on stormy nights, gather nutrients, and battle malevolent beasts. Once you have traveled far enough divert to a local village and pick up a cheeky chaperone to help you on the way. Train him and cun articulate weaponry together. When you are ready it is time to face the dragon that lies at the heart of the mountain. This ancient creature has terrorized the land for centuries, guarding a hoard of treasures and secrets hidden deep in its lair. In the middle of the battle the dragon brutally strikes you and you are in fatal state. It’s okay because your loyal chaperone gives you a helping hand and heals you, turning into a master himself. Together you two strike the final blow and finally defeat the monster. The following day is full of jubilation as the local village celebrates and honors you both for your brave deeds. That my friend, is how you fight the evil dragon known as “writers block”

Also I submitted dis update to the Halloween 2024 Jam by SNIPER, there are lots of awesome games there so check em out neow!!

(I know this post is really late I apologize) Happy Halloween folks! So I’ve had my proudest game “Minute” published now for a while, and this year I decided to get in the spooky spirit and release a Halloween extravaganza for it!

The game is basically a top-down platformer with a cool quirk that requires you to time your jumps by hitting a red point with a sliding arrow. It’ll leave you addicted>:) This Halloween makeover includes a secret trick and a costume dress up feature you unlock when you beat both 2 levels.

Here’s the animated promo video I created :

Please play I’ll buy you a hellcat :P

Thanks for the kind feedback! I’ll definitely animate more of it once I convert the game to unity!

Found this game on Newgrounds. Really fun! I won’t be passing away peacefully until I figure out how to  finish level 10…

I can see this being a standalone program with some photoshop features. Very useful!

Help! Can’t stop popping…

What if a rhythm game and platformer had a baby? Meet MINUTE! Dash across funky platforms and reach the top. But wait! Always remember to time your jumps by hitting the red spot with the sliding arrow. Three mistakes and it’s back down for you pal!

The game is in beta and i’m currently working on a full version, so please updated for the release of a lifetime!

Hello, I’m regularGAMES. A while ago I released a game called “Minute” and today I started developing a Halloween update for this year. However my slow brain is having trouble with forming ideas at the moment, so I need help. Please check the game out (it’s made in scratch and still in beta so it might not be the best thing in the world) and give ideas on what should be implemented for a spooky month update!

Here are some pics of what i have so far:

This last one is basically the same as the normal game

I agree!

Thanks for the kind and motivational words! I think a LOT of people need this jam lmao

Impressive!!

Playing for hours... Love it!

LOVE IT! This is one of the most unique ideas I've seen in a while. It has an AMAZING challenge that made me feel super accomplished when i finally beat it lol :D Just wonderin, what engine did you use to program it??

this game is a blast! (Literally)

Howdy, I’m regularGAMES! :D The first game I ever made is called “livin’ the dream”, a massive simulation game made in Scratch that broke my computer! it’s basically just an animal crossing/sims rip off except it never saw the public eye, fortunately

The latest project I’m developing at the moment, is a top down platformer called “Minute”. However this isn’t your average platformer… You now have to time your jumps using a scrolling arrow! (Kind of like a rhythm game but without the catchy music..) It’s been in beta for 2 years and I’m now working on the full release. Please check it out and give feedback! :3

Getting rid of that cent saves people lives

I agree with redonihunter; it depends solely on the game and platform. In my opinion, even the developer

1. If it’s a small game by a small developer- free with ads would be the most reachable to the general public.

2. If it’s a small game by a more popular developer- paid would be looked down upon. Free with ads would still be the best.

3. If it’s an ambitious game by a small developer- you would have to promote it enough to make people wanna buy it. Once you do then ads would be less profitable.

4. If it’s an ambitious game by a popular developer- do whatever you want lmao.

The game and platform should tie together.

Smaller game- put it on platforms that everyone already has. You would groan and roll your eyes if you had to make an entire account for an unknown website just to play flappy bird lol

More ambitious- you’re able to put it pretty much anywhere as long as you advertise well. If you’re a popular developer, you can even strive for console

(this is all my opinion I might be very wrong!)

what happens when I reach level 9/11

Thanks so much!

(it’s been 2 years)

Real 😭

i will (not) finish my game in 19 days :D

Wait a minute.. play Minute!

What if a platformer and a rhythm game had a baby? Well they did, and they named it MINUTE! (Kinda) The object is to hop to the top and beat the level obvs… but now you have to time your jumps by timing the sliding arrow to hit the red spot! This game isn’t completely new. I developed it 2 years ago and left it in beta. I’m now working on the full version with a 3rd level, so it would be nice for you to stay updated for when it releases!

Old trailer:

Please play and give feedback :D have a great day yall!
