it's not! It's based on the myth of Sisyphus, a person in greek mythology who was condemned by the gods to endlessly push a rock to the top of a mountain, only for the rock to fall to the bottom of the mountain each time. This tiny game is an exploration of that story, so it too is endless :)

The game is indeed pretty minimalist, but it's because it was made in one day only - it was one of the constraints of the project Meditations, for which we made this small game. I too wish i had more time to let you wave at the squirrels!
