Thanks for the kind words and feedback! I am definitely going to be continuing work on this one, so check back in the future!

Very cool game! Graphic style is awesome! General gameplay is fun and well put together. Keep developing this thing after the Jam is over!

Thanks a lot for the feedback!! I appreciate it! (Already updated the timer color!)

Thank you so much for the feedback!! Great call - I have more work to do around the death/time out screens, but I am going to switch it to restart the room instead of the game.

Really great demo! Fun! I lasted about 5 minutes, got a little bored by then - but I love the concept. Hope you keep at it and add some more enemy variety, maybe cannon powerups, etc... Maybe break the ships into waves, that type of stuff. But, again, great work!

I didn't have time to dig really deep here, but obviously you built something really cool here! I love the whole idea behind being able to, in a game, do block coding to finish a stage. It is lacking some UI to help understand things, maybe a tutorial... but I wouldn't expect in a game jam demo, either.

Latest version went live last night. There are 5 levels with unique ways to pass each one. Can you solve the puzzles in time and get to the exit?

Really? Pretty rude man...

I didn't say "no game design" - I said, "no game design doc". The GDD (or game design document) is a requirement for the Pirate Jam. You didn't include it, so I couldn't read it to try and understand your game better. Clearly you have a design in mind.

But, now, I see you have just entered the same game in dozens of jams... so clearly you didn't even design it around any of the jam themes.

Update: I went to look for my comment and you even deleted it! Classy!

Thanks for the feedback!! I will adjust the levels a bit for the audio. Hoping to add some more gameplay mechanics too before the end, but we will see.

Not many games leverage this type of interaction, reminds me of Typing of the Dead. Would love to see more variety in the visuals, enemy types, etc... but conceptually off to a great start IMO. The typing is responsive and just works really well!

I am a huge Punch Out fan, so this is fun to see. It feels very close to it in the timing and movement, nice work on that. The art style is really cool too. What I would love to see (or hear about) is what else you intend to differentiate it from Punch Out a bit more. (just spitballing ideas, but like an item shop or something to buy weapons, armor, or a leveling system with XP... different characters to play as?... warrior, wizard, rogue.)

Neat platforming idea, using the gun to jump further. The mouse move speed is a little too aggressive for me and the FOV feels huge. But, maybe that is something you are going for.

Crazy, I hadn't seen that happen. The gray block is supposed to block the flame so you can pass. I will check it out and see what is up.

Thanks for checking it out too! My hope is to create more puzzle elements as I go here, but we will see how many things get implemented with the time remaining. My goal overall is an puzzle-y, arcade-y feeling game.

EDIT: Bug has been squashed and new version is uploaded.

That is messed up dude... those spiders... the statue... (i want more!)
