I like the game. I appreciate that not all levels are the same and the way you managed to interpret darkness in 2D is incredible. Most developers use some sort of Fog of War, but you came up with something new, something more interesting. When you think about it, it's very realistic; in darkness, you can only see the things around you and yourself. It's a very interesting and wonderful game. The music is exceptional but repetitive, and the art style is very beautiful
The game is cool, I like the fact that you can attract and repel all kinds of atoms and neutrons. I don't know what the green ones are, but I suppose they are quarks or something. The mechanics for the W and S keys being two different attacks but fired from the same click is interesting. You could have easily made it so you shoot with the left and right clicks, but you didn't, and that gives the game a creative bonus. 8/10, a very cool game. I spent 15 minutes wandering around to reach the nucleus.
In game development, the way you think is essential and doing the same stuff over and over again isn't just time wasted, it's practice that will help you in the next project.
For example, in my 5 years of game development, I have never made a day-night cycle ( basic stuff ) but I've made camera and player control scripts from tutorials so many times that now I can make one from scratch without using the internet.
So 2 basic things, try to think like a developer and don't be afraid to do the same thing more than once, also everybody makes mistakes and everyone gets blocked at some point, don't worry and you can achieve anything.
