Oh, yeah, it only works if the audio data lives in cart ROM. If I had to pick one, I’d go with Unsung Heroes, but you have many good candidates here!

congrats on release! i like the leitmotif throughout. unsung heroes is great. u should submit some of these for playback on radico8!

🎅

great as always!

lol @ the name 😂 i love the unique mechanic of the balloon jerks being jerks!!

Thanks! I feel like it needs a lot more of something, but I didn’t want to make the song so big that devs couldn’t fit a second song plus other sounds in their carts. I originally thought I’d be able to make a cart with two songs plus a jingle or two and maybe some generic sfx, but then I procrastinated until last night. (I thought the jam ended today. 😅 Maybe I’ll add more this week if I have time!)

Great as always!

Thank you for your support and kind words!

beautiful!!!

😂

Sorry for missing this a year ago. Thanks for playing!

Thanks for taking the time to find that, I’ll take a look this weekend!

All day? Wow, thanks, that’s a real compliment! You’re not the first to ask about proper audio files, I’m thinking about rendering the audio out of Pico-8 so I can mix/master them in a DAW but I need to write a script to do that first. Anyway, sounds like u may have gotten the game through one of the bundles so if u haven’t seen it and are interested in more chiptunes like this, I have a bunch up on the Pico-8 BBS: https://www.lexaloffle.com/bbs/?uid=44175&mode=carts&sub=2#m

Thank you so much! There’s no proper audio files available, the in-game audio sounds pretty muddy on a decent sound system so I wasn’t comfortable making it available like that. However, the purchased downloads include a version of the game that plays itself while you swap back and forth between songs, it’s the best compromise I could come up with!

Wow, thank you so much!!

Thanks so much for your kind words. I’m glad you enjoyed the game!

Thank you for playing! :)

I’m glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks so much! I follow u on Twitter and admire your dedication to true 8-bit programming. I really appreciate the compliment!

Thanks so much, I’m happy you’ve enjoyed it!

Thank u for everything, Paul!!!

Thanks! 😃

It’s wonderful. I thought I’d spend a few minutes trying it out, and a few minutes turned into about an hour. All the gfx feel like they naturally belong in 64x64, the music is unintrusive and catchy, and the gameplay is just the right mix of stressful and fun. Congrats!

Yeah, and the other is blood wine I guess, lol!

Thank YOU for playing! :D

Thank you very much!!!
