Did you work in a team?
Collaborated with a composer who made the game's track and I did the art, design, and code. Yep lots of fun!
Was the resolution a challenge?
I enjoy it. Makes the space way more comfy. Did have to be very selective about any written information but that's part of the charm
What did you learn?
To focus less on a state machine driven AI and more on the actual game-play. Also that its awesome working with a composer!

really fun! I need to figure out how to get good… also lmao did that guy shoplilft my hammer
thanks! only way I know of that customers would not return an item is if there are no empty tables to return the item. was that what occurred or something else?
hmm, possibly? shop space is limited and so i end up just carrying a huge stack of stuff around in my hands lol. I just got to $1000 and need to stop now… thanks for the great game!!
that's some serious moola! thanks for the response.
Excellent submission. This is a great example of how you can do a UI in a limited space. I love games like these, so it was fun to try it in a tiny scale. Honestly, this might be worth working on some more, to see where you can take it.
Thanks! I def want revisit the concept/game in the future!
i loved this game so much! i enjoyed setting up shop and running around to help all the customers. the music was really nice too. the art is great and I enjoyed the flavour text for each item in the purchasing menu. really great job!
thanks! glad you enjoyed it!
I won lol. Loved it, super cute game ! The gameplay was very engaging good job ! (I had a problem with the first level, because people were comming standing in front the yellow bloc without asking for anything :/)
thanks! by yellow block are you referring to the Request table (yellow table with a R)? did you have it on the first day or was it bought on a later day?
The game starts with a tutorial, with 6 tables + request table (the yellow bloc). Customers come and stand in front of it without requesting anything (no bubble).
hmm strange- is that still occurring with the latest version? i think I may have uploaded a debug version for a little while before noticing a few days ago. might be that.
Right, the update fixed it, I now start with a blue table instead the yellow one ! Thanks !
This is an amazing game Munro. 10/10
thanks!
This game is the most addictive in the jam, the graphics are quite minimalist, this game is like a perfect puzzle, nothing to add, nothing to subtract. exceptional work
thanks you!
=( I want more,...
PS: 5/5
thanks!
This is not a genre I'm usually into, but this game is pretty darn charming. Excellent job, Munro!
thanks! it was fun making it!
I think you've won this. So good, I do love these types of shop running games though.
It's not that easy however. The margins are super tight. But I guess without it, the game would be too easy.
I just used apples, 2 coins profit, but cost 5. I could buy 14 a round and sell them all. 24 profit and 17 to the loan. Other items weren't as profitable.
thanks! i'm going to tweak difficulty down in the next version. the apples higher margins are probably because amounts are round in your favoring (rounded up for selling to customers, rounded down for buying from customers).
Absolutely delightful experience from start to finish! Really enjoyed my time with this one :D
glad you enjoyed it!
A nice demake approach on Moonlighter’s Store front. The gfx style fits perfectly. Nice job!
thank you!
very fun! also very difficult. makes me want to play a game like this maybe with more mechanics
Thanks! I'd suggest Reccatear, Winkeltje: The Little Shop, or Moonlighter for a shop management fix!
I love this! I've played, uh, a lot. And I've come across a strange bug: after a while, if you're holding an axe (This hasn't happened with anything else, just the axe!) at the end of a day, the axe will start to duplicate after each day. There will be so many axes. More axes than you can sell. (Did you know: The game holds up remarkably well, but starts to get noticeable lag when you're holding 400+ items?)
that's pretty funny bug! glad your enjoying it! ah, I listed it twice for unlocks, oops. will release a fix.
As always, your game concepts are always so charming and unique!
thanks, too kind!
Really enjoyed playing this one! Love the idea. Always wondered what it would be like to play as an NPC shop keeper, and this game completely captures that. Love the art style/colour palette, great gameplay and very relaxing soundtrack. Very impressive.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it!
This was great! Very large scope too. I was impressed by how much was in there. Not sure if I missed it but it would be nice to have a number somewhere that says how many tables are empty. I ended up forgetting when it came time to stock up
thank you! good suggestion. any case, don't worry too much about keeping items on hand- there's no limit!
This is really awesome! Just perfect art style for this rez & I loved Sushi belt! Please check out our game, thank you! :)
Thanks and will do!
Cozy environment with relaxing music. Reminds me of Recettear.
thanks! Recettear was at the top of the list for inspirations!
This feels like a spiritual successor to Sushi Belt, and to be clear, that is a good thing. I approve of the music.
This game really makes you feel like an NPC.
thank you!
It’s wonderful. I thought I’d spend a few minutes trying it out, and a few minutes turned into about an hour. All the gfx feel like they naturally belong in 64x64, the music is unintrusive and catchy, and the gameplay is just the right mix of stressful and fun. Congrats!
i'm glad it held together for that long! thanks!
Hey, I'm glad you like the music! There's a really fine line between writing a catchy melody and not driving the player insane. Have a nice day!
