Lovely game! Though Simon is a strong contender, Cass is my favourite so far... Literally fell for/into her at first sight wahaha (づ ᴗ _ᴗ)づ♡ The cast's personalities are all wonderful and stand out from one another, I can't help but want more interactions with them. The recipes and ingredient gathering, especially at the market, was quite fun! Nice to see that it affected cooking and serving later too ^^

Thank you for creating and sharing this wonderful game!

Oh this was so nice to play! Simple and relaxing, and the art and music fits the mood so well. Especially liked the dictionary translating mechanic, that was really interesting ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧ I wanted to have small talk with the patrons but looks like it'll only be out in the full version? Looking forward to that! Thank you for creating and sharing this lovely little game (ㅅ´ ˘ `)

Bwahaha right! There are juice options and I initially didn't plan for alcoholic drinks, but since this is an inn / a tavern I added them ( • ̀ω•́ )✧ Thank you so much for playing El Inn!

Thank you for playing and for your feedback! A leveling system is a good idea, but I had other plans for the recipes and ingredients that I couldn't implement in time so I made all the current recipes available ^^ Also yes the movement is a little off, I'm currently working to remedy that (•̀ᴗ•́ )و

Thanks again for taking the time to check out El Inn!

It was a little hard to get into at first with so much going on, but once I got the flow going it was smooth sailing! Occasionally still fell victim to the RNG and lost all my adventurers for a while, but the popularity I had built up made new adventurers come in pretty fast ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧

It's funny when I stop an adventurer from going on a quest that's too difficult for them and the tavern loses popularity wwww like I'm just trying to keep you alive from that low low 40% chance of success why do you dislike me for that ;-;

Managed to have the best establishment in the end though! It was a lot of fun, I think the sound effects and the visuals kept me engaged even when I was lost figuring out how to play initially. Thank you for making and sharing this great game ᐠ( ᐛ )ᐟ

(1 edit)

Love the characters and the interactions! The art is great and the story is fun, and the change in gameplay from visual novel/dialogues to the drink crafting was a great change in pace that kept me engaged.

I'm not sure if I misunderstood something, but it seems like the drinks crafted don't affect the storyline, even if we craft a drink the character didn't request? Would be cool if they had different reactions to drinks if it was the right or wrong drink ^^ Didn't affect my enjoyment of the game though, even the drink and ingredient sprites are really pretty (ㅅ´ ˘ `)

Thank you for creating and sharing this lovely game!

Aaaa thank you for your compliments! Writing the story and drawing the sprites did take quite a bit, so I'm really happy to hear they, and the overall game, were enjoyable ( ⸝⸝´꒳`⸝⸝)

I missed the mistake with the candied orange slices recipe when checking the game orz Thank you for letting me know about it! The reminder is a great suggestion too, I'll look into adding it into the game ^^ I hadn't expected the bar minigame to be so fun that players would forget about the dialogues, but I'm glad to hear you liked it so much!

Thank you once again for playing El Inn, and for your feedback and support ◝(ᵔᗜᵔ)◜

Aaa glad to hear you enjoyed the game, thank you so much for playing El Inn!

I did notice in a few test runs that the RNG was hard to work with, especially when it made the same character pop up several times in a row, or didn't spawn another character for a long time like you mentioned. Will be working to remedy that in the next update, probably with a sort of pity system where if one character doesn't spawn for too long, the next spawn is guaranteed to be them, and maybe reduce the spawn rate of maxed out characters too! Must have been frustrating to wait for Cael to appear ^^'

The similarity of the dishes was meant to be a challenge  yes, but I agree with you, it is an accessibility issue. I'm planning on adding one or two of the dish's ingredients behind it, like Sugar Cake having a bag of sugar behind and Milk Cake having the carton of milk, and increasing the contrast of the colours between similarly coloured dishes. I'll take your suggestions into consideration for the substitute challenge when preparing recipes!

Thank you again for playing El Inn, and for your feedback and thoughts! I really appreciate it (  ≧ᗜ≦)

Thank you for playing El Inn! Glad to hear you had fun and enjoyed the story◝(ᵔᗜᵔ)◜I'll definitely be working on and updating El Inn, thank you again for your support!

Aaaa thank you so much for playing through the game and taking the time to read the stories! I'm happy to see you enjoyed the characters' interactions (ㅅ´ ˘ `)

Ah right, the aiming speed is an issue I've noticed, but I wasn't able to fix that before the jam ended orz The player is supposed to be able to catch targets/powerups fast enough to get higher scores, but sadly due to this it's hard to do so. I'm planning to update this to fix the speed after the voting period! Thanks for raising it ^^

Ah just did it! Thanks for the reminder ^^

That was the feel I was going for, a quick and enjoyable game - I'm happy you found it like so! Thank you for playing and for your comments!
 (  ≧ᗜ≦)

Aaaa thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed Floaty Frenzy! (ㅅ´ ˘ `)

The story was cute! I really enjoyed the visuals of the first level, with the music adding to the feel, but I'm unfortunately stuck there due to the difficulty of getting around the rocks orz

I'd really like to see this game to the end and see if the little gosling reunites with its mom! So if you're planning to update this game after, maybe make either the rock or gosling's hitbox smaller? I see there's a space-themed level in the screenshots and would like to be able to get there, at least!

Took me a bit to get used to the gameplay, but I see the idea! I do feel like there are too many restrictions/things to do though, such as having to run down to the sails and back up to the steering wheel to move, and back down to stop.

A way to stop the ship from the steering wheel would be nice, because I often sail past the crewmates while trying to stop the ship. Maybe a way to heal too? While focusing on saving the crewmates, I'm unable to shoot down the enemy ships and take a lot of damage by the time I reach only one-third of the goal.

This game does have a lot potential though, with the different mechanics offered, and I did have fun playing! (before I eventually took too much damage orz) If you plan to develop this game further, I look forward to its growth!

Aaa thanks for playing! I assure you that you probably didn't miss anything, the gameplay is indeed repetititve, didn't have time to add challenges or obstacles ^^` Thank you for your input!

Haven't played such a text-based adventure game in a while, that was fun! The switching between 'areas' or panels was a little slow, but going around to find the items with only clicking was fun nonetheless. Good game!
✧。٩(ˊᗜˋ )و✧*。

Simple game mechanics but quite fun! I do wish there was something else the player could do during the fight though, rather than standing around and waiting. Maybe gaining mana and being able to summon/revive more zombies? Just a thought! Overall, a nice chill game to play (ㅅ´ ˘ `)

Amazing game! This was fun to play, managing resources and spawning a whole horde of zombies wwww I only couldn't figure out how to upgrade (was trying to unlock fireball)? Not sure if there was a cost of souls I wasn't hitting or something I had to do other than click on the upgrade I wanted hmmm. Even so, since this is a prototype, I really look forward to the full game! Would come back to play again ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧

Thank you for playing the game and for your input! I did think of putting a suspiscion meter in, but since it was meant to be a more hidden mechanic for a third ending I decided not to, in the end. I do see where you're coming from though, it would be much easier to keep track that way! Will keep your comments in mind if I decide to update or revamp RIP ٩( ᐛ )و Thanks again!

Tried it again, getting the arrows on time is much easier now! Thank you and good job on fixing and updating that! ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧

Woah kinda like a tower defense, or at least defending a base/the skeleton pit! I played on html so there was a bit of lag or bugs here and there, but still managed to play! The tutorial and the controls being in the pause menu helped out a lot ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧ Great game! The Goetia book was interesting to look through too, so detailed wah

Haha that's nice to hear! Thank you for playing!

Bwahaha this is a really fun concept! It was hard to hit the arrows, but I was aple to just smash all 4 keys over and over and score without consequences - maybe adding a miss which gives negative score would be good to implement if you plan to continue working on this ^^ Good game, dancing zombies were very entertaining wwww

Fun game! Though we don't get to complete the quest per se, the goal is there and drove me on to play through the areas. If the enemies could have some visual or sound effects when they are hurt, like how the zombies turn white when hit/dying, that'd be great! I really enjoyed the different spells that could be used, especially the necromancy where it spawned in whatever you had killed wwwww Good job!

Took a bit to figure out how to start the game and solve the puzzles (with a lot of pressing E wwwww). I like how so much could be interacted with even if they didn't actively play a part in the game's puzzles. It's fun to see the little thoughts and pieces of the characters lives! Nice game ^^

Oooo do you mean having random numbers of tombs the player can open per day, am I understanding that right? The suspiscion stat was meant to limit the number of tombs players could open, or at least make player choose which graves they open more carefully because too much suspiscion leads to another ending. But I agree, the game could be more challenging! Maybe with puzzles or some guard obstacles between the player and graves hmmm...

Thank you for your input and suggestions, and for playing my game! (ㅅ´ ˘ `)

Aaaa thank you! Thanks for taking the time to check out my game too ^^

The mechanic of picking up and placing down the tower is really interesting! It was hard to balance moving the tower to appropriate places and collecting gems at first, but eventually got used to it. Also appreciate the opportunity to try out the OP tower at the end ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧

This game is so cute! I enjoyed the simple gameplay, just having to click the bees, eggs and queen bee, and that adorable little dance you could make them do after the queen is happy. Honestly when I don't feel like clicking the small beez, I just keep clicking the queen to see the bouncy animation the beez have wwww Great game! I'd come back to play again and again when I want to pass the time and relax :D

Yippee happy to see you finished it, congrats! Thank you so much for checking out and playing through the game, my team and I appreciate it (ㅅ´ ˘ `)

Hi there! I'm not sure what's causing that issue, but I've added an exe file you can download and play if you're still interested in checking The Princess & The Roach out ^^
