Thinking about it, I couldve probably made the instructive text bigger/bolder so the entire shop isnt mega bloated and you know what to read first, maybe even "unlocks later" so you dont get all 5 items at once

Planets orbiting giant potatoes?

I’m a sucker for clicker games so what can I say haha. Found it funny that there was gravity in the planet stage as well

Can you explain to me what you mean with “essentially locked”? Are you softlocked, or do the buildings not work like you can’t place them, etc? I can’t update the game unfortunately haha but maybe I can help you in the right direction if you’re planning on playing again.

hey Aliviessa! Thanks for playing my game, it’s the first “complete” working game I managed to finish for the jam, so I’m glad you enjoyed it :)

as for the refinery, you need to mine an iron vein first to obtain some iron. They look like gold veins, but white. then move close to the refinery and press E which will convert them into iron rocks which you use with the right mouse button.

also, when you say larger resolution, do you mean larger window size?

its funny and nicely decorated, but the gameplay isnt very creative.

The game is really great, it gives me return of the obra dinn vibes. One thing I would change is that landmarks only appear on your map once youve discovered them, like maybe the landmarks have a faint glow so you know its something to be added, and you arent walking around trying to figure out where the scribbles on your map are

First game that im giving 5 stars on everything. Its an absolute blast, satisfying, and I love the pixel art style. the camera controls feel smooth as well.

This game is really fun but also makes me really mad. its the videogame form of building a house from a deck of cards.

Its a cutesy game, no sound unfortunately (although who am I to blame when my own game doesnt have sound either) I really like the little goblins animations. I think that game could maybe use a few landmarks so you know where you are, and you should put the shop in a central location so you can go like "Hmm ill go left now" or "I havent explored to the right very much"

I like the concept of having limited jumps but I feel like it may be a little underutilized, as is the getting bigger aspect. I liked the controls though, and although its interesting how you jump higher if youre lighter it can also give you less control in for example the section where you need to jump through the hot tubes and dont want to hit your head on the ceiling.

The game is scenic and has good music. One thing I would change is to make the projectiles a bit bigger to make them more visible, give the dash more functionality and make enemies shoot intermittently so I dont get cornered by bullets everytime haha

haha I was planning to put in animations and sound effects, but unfortunately I didn’t have any time to do that, so I just focused on making the game playable. Thanks for playing!

damn. Can I still upload it to be playable in browser on itch.io somehow?

I used gamemaker studio 2

(1 edit)

lol this is my first “game”I have no idea what I’m doing, how do I export to binary?

also regarding being able to keep working on my game after submitting it, the game was very unfinished so I feel like if I started actually finishing it it would break the “don’t radically change your game” rule, but is that still allowed?

cool concept. not so sure what everything did tho, and it seems more like a chore than challenging to play the game

also the dogs look cool :D
