The idea is the following, if you can't destroy the targets in time or you are overwhelmed with targets, in that case, you can reduce the damage taken from them by shrinking them.

The idea of the game is that you will never be able to destroy all obstacles, That's why you have to sometimes to shrink an object to go and stop another or you have to sacrifice and take the damage to protect the mother ship.

Yes, You're correct, It becomes difficult to hit targets when they get super small, but at a certain size, they become harmless.

The ship can scale down objects by shooting the shrinking bullets. 

pressing (X).

Shrinking objects makes them less harmful, (the damage taken from them decreases), the normal projectile do not decreases the damage if the object is not destroyed.

Nice looking game, however, the player sprite gets stuck in the last animation until you make another action.

for example:
after jumping or moving, the animation will remain the same until you make another action (the moving animation will keep playing after the player stops).

and it would be better if you flip the sprite when moving to the left.

The control is good, and the graphics are fine, but I suggest you give the player a chance to start because sometimes you can lose from the beginning repeatedly without even trying and that's frustrating.
