Not really, I work on visual novels myself.

That's a discord issue, not a game issue I'm afraid so I can't help you there sorry.
Chapter 1 of Learning To Fly is the final version and Chapter 2 is also published here which is also final and contains new features I've learned how to code making it more game like.
I have been asked to provide the coding for a new project which I have accepted so I do not know if or when I'll get to work on chapter 3.

ps:
Many thanks to all who have hopefully enjoyed these 2 downloads. I enjoyed creating them coding wise, not so much art wise.
Ok, Here's the scoop.
There seems to be an issue with Ren'Py when in novel mode.
No matter what I've tried, Ren'Py causes the entire screen to become darker while in novel mode. The only way I can see to get around this is to not use novel mode for the Android build.
I'll change it and post again once complete.
Thanks for your patience,
Robitron
02-08-20 Update:
A couple of issues have arisen with the Android build. Number 1 is that a large text block cuts off on an Android. I have worked to correct the issue. The other is in novel mode the entire screen goes into a shadow even with a modified screen. I'll work on that before I compile it again, I have no idea if that issue can be solved though.
The PC and Mac versions seem to work fine so far. More updates as they develop.
First of all, I want to thank everyone that has downloaded cheesy chapter 1. It took me 6 months to create starting with nothing but the story.
Most of that time was experimenting with different graphics apps that would run on this laptop. I also wanted something relatively easy to use in order to focus on learning how to code. In the two months since being published it has had over 600 downloads.
I'm pleased to announce I started work on chapter 2 a little over 7 weeks ago focusing primarily on the coding. There are many improvements in chapter 2 I hope you will enjoy. Unfortunately, the graphics are of the same quality as I basically have no artistic ability. That's my feeble attempt at begging for artistic help.
Anyway, as you know Chapter 2 is now 90% complete and is in beta testing. Should anyone wish to be a beta tester, you can reach me on discord user Robitron #9682 or on my server (or lack thereof) "Learning To Fly".
The PC and mac versions will be released in the next couple of days. The Android version is undergoing some more testing and will be released soon.
Thanks for reading
Discord is a text and voice chat app for gamers. There a lot of different servers available. Here is a link to download the app:
https://discordapp.com/download
To find a relevant server. Open the discord app and go to https://disboard.org/ to search for the topic of your choice.
Discord is a server based community, kind of like a community bulletin board.
Would you believe me if I told you 6 months ago I started with nothing except an idea? The only cost for me create something was electricity and time. Everything I used is open source, creative commons, or created by me using open source software.
There was only 1 time I wanted to quit, but I persisted in asking questions and finally figured it out.

Are you a member of discord? If not, google it and install it. There are lots of servers that offer all kinds of help. Lemma Soft forums and even reddit.
I'm in my 50's and published my first game here about 3 weeks ago. It's had over 350 downloads so far. I don't consider that a bad start for starting with nothing and being published in a 6 month time frame. I am doing it because I wanted to learn Python and found I actually enjoy it.
Stick with it bro and you'll discover things you never knew existed. That's a promise and good luck with your project.
By the way, I'm using Ren'Py for the engine, what are you using?
I'm only in this to learn a new skill in what spare time I have while taking care of the household stuff for my father during his twilight years. My main objective is to learn Python as it's an interesting language . For my starting point I chose Ren'Py as it is open source and written with Python, it's also an easy introduction to the way Python works.
Although I'm still starting out, within 6 months I have managed to publish my first kinetic novel. Although some, ok maybe most, may find it dicey, I did find an author that has allowed me to use a story he wrote for my project.
Working alone, I learned some basic coding skills, development skills, as well as some artistic skills. Thankfully, I did not have to learn how to write a story!
The author was impressed with my efforts and is eagerly awaiting chapter 2 of his story. As I learn new things, I incorporate them. I've also learned through this site that a devlog is invaluable. Not only to me but others that may view it. OOPS... :off topic mode off:
Advice:
To get a wide variety of reviews (and if you have the time) http://roastmygame.com/ may be a good start. If you post there you'll need to keep an eye on the reviews and respond when appropriate.
Just enjoy what you are doing is all I'm saying.
Personally, I find communities quite helpful and the opportunities to learn more extensive. LSF (LemmaSoft Forums) was my first to learn the basics of game development and the Ren'Py VN engine.
I quickly learned the basics of Ren'Py through them and had a working prototype in about 2 weeks. My first completed KN "Learning To Fly ch1" is published both here and on GameJolt.
I've also joined Discord and created my own server https://discord.gg/c3vK5Y though I'm still in the process of setting it up. There are plenty of servers to join on discord, such as Renpy, itch, blender, etc.
Hope this helps...
