Thanks I really appreciate it, I'm glad you liked the story!
I agree, the gameplay segments could have used some additional tension/urgency.

Thank you for checking it out!

Very cool and relaxing, really like the minimal art style.

fun aesthetic, I liked the crunchy music, all around cool vibe

really like the art style and the isometric perspective, a longer adventure/puzzle in this style would be great

I really liked this! Fun to play and I liked color palette, transitions, etc.

Thanks, I appreciate it!

Thank you for trying it out!

Thanks for playing!

Fun rhythm game, great job!

Thanks for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Really enjoyed this, very fun concept. I would absolutely play a longer version of this!

Thanks a lot! I got a good laugh at the end of the video lol

I'm glad you liked it, it was a fun game to make!

I intend on fixing the score issues eventually, just need to make the time :)

Thanks for checking it out, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

And yeah I've been meaning to add that, just haven't gotten around to it... one day though!

Thanks for checking it out!
Thanks for the feedback as well, I will have to release an update at some point to fix that high score issue.

Thank you, that's a great compliment! I'm glad you enjoyed it, thanks for checking it out

Thanks for checking it out! That was something I thought about adding initially, but opted against it. Maybe in a future iteration!

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for sharing your video as well, its great to see people playing the game.

Just a side note: Looks like you were running an older version of the game. The current version (1.1.2) should improve some of the slowness you experienced  :)

Thanks, I hope you enjoy it when your device arrives!

Great music! I used your song "Crash Landing" in my game: https://rumblebox.itch.io/invasion

Thanks for release such great music under CC!

Great set of icons! I used the "A" button in my Playdate game and attributed you in the game files and on the game page. Thanks for releasing this public domain!

(1 edit)

I think this should be resolved now, I changed a couple lines and tested it a few times without hitting this crash so hopefully it's fixed now. The new version should be 1.0.2

Thanks for reporting this!
Unfortunately, there are a few crashes I'm sorting out with version 1.

Same error for me as well.

Not sure if this is the problem you are having, but I was having this same issue sideloading my zipped game as well.

I was using the windows built in zipping utility and it wouldn't sideload properly.

I re-zipped it with 7zip and it sideloaded normally, not sure why but it fixed the issue for my game.

I actually just fixed it!

Apparently windows 11 built in zip utility was breaking the zip file somehow.

I re-zipped it using 7zip and I was able to confirm on a physical device that it should now be working normally.

Sorry for all the confusion everyone! Thank you for checking out the game and for your patience!

Thank you for the additional details! I updated the .zip file again and hopefully it will work normally now.

Oh that's great news!

So you were able to just drop in the .zip file and everything worked normally for you?

Thanks for letting me know. Unfortunately, I've heard this from a few different people. I don't have one yet, so I can't troubleshoot the issue at the moment.

Thank you for checking out the game though!

Hopefully I can get it sorted out in the near future.

Good to know, thanks for the heads up! I can't wait to get mine so I can try it out.

Awesome, I appreciate it!

Again, great job!

Great job! I just played a few rounds in the simulator, I'll try it out on the Playdate when it arrives.

Do you happen to have the source publicly available for this project?
I'm working on a few small projects as well.

Hey thanks for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Unfortunately, the game is on hiatus currently. I might return to it one day, but I'm not able to at the moment. I'm glad you enjoyed the ascii art, that was definitely the most time consuming aspect!

Great update, very helpful!

To move around the map you have to use the format: "Go <direction>." So to go into the house from the front yard you would need to use the command: "Go North." All of the possible directions in a room are listed at the bottom of the room's description.

Also, thank you for sharing this! I'll try to improve some of the player feedback to make that formatting clearer in the next update!

This is a really engaging puzzle premise! I also really the like the way you use the room rotations with the traditional point-and-click mechanics. I would love to play a longer adventure game in this style!

Neat premise! You introduced each new mechanic really well

I'm glad you enjoyed it, thanks for checking it out!

Thanks for playing!

I greatly appreciate the feedback, that is all really constructive and very helpful! I'll definitely try to incorporate those suggestions in future iterations of the project.

Good stuff! Very uneasy feeling throughout and the ruins/caves setting was great.

That was great!

Very cool how the notes branched into real world concepts.
