This is awesome, all of the transitions are so smooth. Nice work.

well actually it was going to be a boss fight, you would have been equipped with a gun that when you shot it would make a beat and change the checkered pattern, but then I really vibed with the just whole overwhelming feeling and didn't want it to be slowed down by player choice, i think this might just be what it is. thanks for playing!
Thank you! I also wish I could add in more buttons and mechanics but for this game I'm going for something more straightforward because I'm also in a second contest where I have to develop a game only really controlled with a single button.
The events in the game are also my favorite part! There will be many more in the final release of the game near the end of October so follow if you'd like to see those!
I appreciate you playing my game!
Hi! I'm ryder and this is my first big project promptly named "Freak". It's a comedy/horror experience designed to be played only using one button and heavily reliant on audio cues. The jist of the game is that you are being followed by a stalker like enemy called the Freak, you have to use the sound of his breathing to turn around and look at him so that he doesn't approach you any further. Try to make it back to your apartment!

You guys ended up making a really cool game, I enjoyed this so much and even seeing it in development I was like wow that's cool. I like that you could go either direction in the beginning and whatever item you got first made the other section easier. Thankfully I went left first because the spell is so much fun to use. Combining all the items together makes for a really fun movement system that I could never get bored of. The parkour section to the boss was also so much fun. Finally, the boss was SO COOL!!!! whattt I loved the way he stomped to the music and his intro of breaking out of the wall was super neat. Great ideas and great execution very polished game excited to see what your team makes in the future or a heirloom thief update! I think the only criticism I have is some of the level design is a bit wild especially in the first two sections before the boss walkup, it does work well to teach you how to play but can get a little wild.
A very short bitsy game showcasing an imitation of white space from Omocat’s game Omori!
