coming from an rpg maker game developer
these are only suggestions, don't take it offensively !!
maps - the maps were too wide, open, and spacious with little props and layout; principled maps should have a maximum height and width, unless the specific maps must be large. many maps should be small and crowded, and original layouts and designs for each one.
i would also like to mention, for some maps you used either default ones, or automatically generated ones; you're able to use these, that's why they exist; but they're mainly used for inspiration, so anyone could be original and have their own interesting creations.
characters - every single character in the game acted the same, personality wise and dialogue wise. in ideal games, each and every character has different ways of speaking and personalities; even shopkeepers or unrelevant to the plot npcs. it's a very important aspect in the game, because the characters are the main storytellers of your plot.
also, many characters have the default bodies and icons. it's okay to use it for some background npcs, but not for most of the entire gameplay. this takes away from the originality aspect, which is also a very important one. if you want to stand out, you must have distinct and lovable characters.
It seems that magic related skills just don't affect those mobs, but I defeated the boss in the very beginning of the gameplay and continued on. The cutscenes are not eligible in any form whatsoever, as they are terribly paced, and the characters literally walk onto pixels and disappear. I'm referring to after the main character woke up and the other character walked into the table and disappeared, speaking of which; the paths you're meant to follow aren't clear at all. At first I thought you were supposed to walk into the table considering what the secondary character did, and then I thought it was straight down; but really it was in a little spot to the right of the map. The spelling and punctuation errors just get worse once you go on, and the pacing gets worse too. It's okay to have about 20 frames in between a couple messages, but 60 frames after each text box is way too much. Plus, I don't like how in some cutscenes, you can't click to skip to the next text box; this has flaws, as either you may not be able to read it, or you read it fast and the text box stays on screen for another second; this gets annoying after a while.
This one error affects the whole gameplay, as none of the skills have any formulas other than for the preset one; which is the skill that every enemy in the game has. I died in the beginning of the game, because none of the skills did any damage towards the enemies. The battle sequence is very unbalanced and needs a lot of work, this one error follows many others. This consists of none of the skills having descriptions, so it may be confusing to figure out which does which. This has many issues itself, because the player won't be able to differentiate between several skills on the wide list. Second, the text boxes aren't formatted well; as the characters' names are in parentheses. This isn't the main issue, because there are also spelling and punctuation errors in many areas. If required, I'll explain further into other issues and the ones listed for further development for this game.
