They didn't really specify on patreon but yeah it's cancelled. Effectively the world expanded so much for their first VN with so many possible routes and choices and CG needed that they probably decided to cancel it and start another one more simpler.

Yeah turns out you need to clear out the tunnel when you're at the junk underground point, once you cleared it out and you don't have that option anymore, it should show up on the underground map

Little hint, he likes the challenge of being teased, something he said right at the beginning, you'll know you got the good ending by Day 28 I think.
