As I said, we'll ask them to fill a form and there we'll ask for seniority level. It can also ask for some kind of resume and be evaluated from there.
The senior person will be coached by me (I'm a senior in team development and project management) to lead and organize with the team.
Everyone will get benefit from it
The idea would be to have a form where people send along with their seniority on game dev, along with it's area of expertise. This way we can team up Veterans with Beginners.
What's in it for them?
Veterans:
- get to practice leadership, mentoring, counseling and coaching
- make new contacts
- have a project that can be shown as they own managed
- This improves their resume directly
Beginners-Semi seniors:
- accelerate their learning
- make new contacts
- most likely end up with a finished project
- This improves their resume directly
The theme of the jam would need to be something easy to brainstorm around, so the development starts quickly because the purpose would not be creativity but to have a finished project
What do you guys think?
Some struggle with organizing, others don't know how to start, and others get stuck. I'll help you find an easy and fast way to organize for success. Free of charge. I'm offering free consultation around game dev and project management practices.
I started as game developer and then moved to project management after publishing a book, it's been +10 years now and I'd love to help others get into game dev or help them move forward.
What's in it for me? It helps me grow my consulting skill.
