For those playing this game please read the following :-

A Bark in the Space is a serious 1v1 simulating game made for 100 $ Cowboy Jam over a weekend. The game revolves around a competition that provides a once in a lifetime opportunity for your dog to go in space. It tests 3 aspects in the finals that are required for your dog to be fit to qualify. These are in the form of minigames.

The Game is divided into 3 aspects namely:-

the first aspect - it is a multiplayer race for testing dogpaddling skills. You have to reach the end before the second player.

the second aspect - it is a multiplayer maze game with literally screwed controls. The goal is to reach the end of the maze with the controls changing every 15 seconds

the third aspect - it is a game to shoot Asteroids as soon as your pointer enters them. it is used to test your speed and timing. you have to shoot the asteroids before they hit the ground

May the best dog win!!!

*This is provided to clarify the mechanics of the game(especially the second aspect)

The 2nd aspect is all about screwed controls. you have to reach the end of the maze with the controls changing every 15 seconds. I made the minigame that way

Ok So now I have finally played the game. Congratulations on finishing this in time. And I can't find much to say on this game, the music and Sfx were good, the animations were good, the way you linked the game to the theme was great. But there were no menus and the HUD was well not built properly but considering the time you had to make the game it is not a big deal. I guess you could have added some way to quit the game as the player just respawns without giving us time to quit. Nice job on making the gameplay difficult though. Also when you read this comment can you tell me how many levels were there in total. Just wanted to know out of curiosity. I liked the art even though you didn't make it haha. Anyway, keep up the good work and let's hope to meet in another jam.

I thought about that but it made it more difficult to play single player while controlling both the players at once and constantly moving the camera to see the other player. This feature improves team coordination in multiplayer and hand coordination in single player mode. That is why I didn't make a separate  feature/mode for single player

Thanks. If you face any problem in going to level 2, try to enter the Arrow/Finish with the 2nd player.

Well I haven't played the game yet but after seeing such great reviews I am shocked how you managed to pull this off over the weekend. I will play this game and then rate it later. Keep up the good work :)

Great to see people using other game engines that Unreal, Godot or Unity. The game was well made considering the time limit. I think that the controls could be explained a little better and the theme could be explained How it comes under the theme other than the name. Also some collisions were faulty within the tileset. I liked the music though that was playing in the background. Other than that, I liked the gameplay. It is good to see that you could finish this gamejam. The artwork was.... well same over the whole game but it was good if you made it yourself. Anyway keep up the good work.

I am truly sorry. I should have mentioned about the arrow. First the second player(one with arrow keys controls) should reach there. Then if you enter it again you should be able to switch scenes. To sum up, both players should be inside the arrow and if it doesn't work try entering again. Please confirm if this error was solved.

Hello there. can you please confirm if this issue is only specific to numpad or is there in other controls too

Thanks for letting me know. I have looked into the matter. I guess it was because I wasn't much clear about the controls. The "UP" button or 8 on numpad does work but only when you are not flying too high. You can see this through the animation. I don't know why the buttons on your side don't work sometimes. I am guessing that it is because you are playing too fast. you have to wait 0.5 sec for the animations to get over for the same. I have fixed some bugs such as the plane going out of the lanes and made the game a little more difficult. I have also added some more controls and exported it to various platforms. Please try one more time after reading this. I hope I have fixed all the bugs.

https://scorpixelite.itch.io/warning-crash-landing-is-prohibited my game is out. make sure to leave suggestions and don't forget to "not rate it".

I hope that all games are finished by now. If anyone needs extra time for submissions please contact me via mail

Hello there. I am truly sorry for any confusion caused. submission should be in the web format (html or webgl) only. also ignoring additional missions will not incur in deduction but will be ranked on too. I hope this clears up any confusion.

Hello there.  Well there isn't a discord server for this jam but I will make one in the next game jam. You can chat or talk through the community for this one. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

Seems Interesting. Can't wait to play this game

Just finished modelling.

Great to see everyone participating. I am looking forward to your submissions. Keep up the good work

Hello there everyone!!! Thanks a lot again for joining the Numpad Jam. Less than a day to go before this Jam starts and to motivate all of you to finish the game in the game jam, I will too make a game. But don't worry, that game will neither be ranked nor rated. This is just to motivate all of you to finish the game unlike me in my previous game jams. So that's all everyone. STAY AWESOME!!!!!!

Hello there. Yes that is what game jams are about. using your mind to make the game that you know fit into the theme. As it says, theme is open to interpretation. Area 51 exists but there are conspiracies of what happens there. So this is an advantage for you, You can make the game without considering if the true story is not being considered or the changes are too major to apply. You can always link true events that you are sure about happened and are not just a conspiracy. I hope this answers your question.

Hello there. How would you like to join a game jam that lacks participation? Spoiler Alert : That's my jam : The first edition ever of the Numpad Jam. https://itch.io/jam/numpad-jam-1 . I guess we can all agree that Numpad is the last place to see a person gaming so why not. The basic idea is to make a proper game based on the theme that may cover additional missions using such controls and making them in such a manner that they are Adaptable. If you don't have a Numpad or don't like the idea of trying to make a game on Numpad controls then it is fine to add other controls along with the numpad controls. you can also use touch controls and mouse and gamepad controls but make sure that the numpad controls work as well. STARTING IN 2 DAYS and it lacks participation. The Theme is out now!!!
