That moment when the music starts, shortly after the introduction of the deer, that moment was magical. It was spectacularly crafted

Once again you made a really cool game, good job!
I ended up with Johannes skeleton and the person at the end was doubly scary because of that. I feared that he came back for her and she was literally haunted by her past.
Also I felt uneasy seeing the protagonist so calm while harming her own body (especially cutting herself).
Similarly despite finding it first, I waited until I checked everything else before removing the eye. I felt like it was... important. More so than every other inspectable detail.
Hey, I noticed this game a while ago but I didn't have time to play a text based adventure. Until today: I finally checked it out and it was good / nice / it reminded me of Eclipse Phase.
I found a bug? Actually I'm not sure, I wouldn't be surprised by a fake error message at this point in the story. Anyway here's a screenshot of it:
Anyway a little feedback for A Planet of Certain Mass:
I loved it!
I felt like the game could make it clearer to understand (outside of text I mean) when the character isn't in control.
It never was very clear what option forces the player forward and what doesn't, this could totally be intentional but in that case I never noticed anything that used it to hammer in a concept / as a trap / as a valuable mechanic.
I really enjoyed the pacing and in particular the first instance of the text just changing ( I was fine / freaked out or something along the line) instead of bringing up more info. In general I really liked that mechanic, the only criticism I have is that it didn't feel right for the choice of eye color, that was a different situation / choice / case than the previous ones.
I'm not really spooped, more like intrigued. Like a story by Agatha Christie isn't really scary but it is mysterious and fascinating. This game reminded me of stories like SCP and those found in the Eclipse Phase manuals.
Uhm, honestly I feel like I forgot one or more choices I made but here's what I remember: I checked my health, I didn't attack the ship, I tried to pull out the girl from the tree, I wrote that the AI was still working.
Finally I only have one question: am I right in thinking that in this future everyone is female? The six grandmas thing and the fact that you're never told your sex (are you? maybe I missed it) is pushing me to believe that, but I'm also unsure if I just didn't pay attention to something at the beginning...
Well that's it for me, have a nice day!
1. Hi there! What's your name? Want to introduce yourself?
Hi! I go by Scuqualo on the Internet and I'm an Italian university student. I'll be teaming up with a couple of friends, maybe I'll edit their names here, but I'll have to ask them first. Edit: One of them couldn't help us because of life issues and the other is Homuncolo. <- this is also where you'll find the finished game.
2. Did you participate in the last jam we held? If so, what do you plan on doing better this time? If not, what's your reason for joining?
No, this will be the first videogame for everyone in the team (which by the way doesn't have a name yet, we accept suggestions for badass or goofy team names). Since we like to make our life complicated we'll start working on the game on the 28th of July, this has nothing to do with my uni exam on that same day... Nothing at all.
3. What games are your favorites? Did any of them inspire you, or made you want to make your own?
I really like Bastion, Transistor and the Mirror's Edge franchise, but the unifying factor across the team is Undertale and we hope to take a lot of inspiration from that.
4. Do you have experience with game development? What did you do/with what engine?
Well I built a couple of card games (still in prototype phase) but we're essentially picking up GameMaker Studio 2.0 from scratch.
5. Tell us about something you're passionate about!
Netrunner is an amazing cardgame. It explores a lot the possibilities of gameplay with hidden information, it's a shame it's super complicated and hard to teach.
6. What are your goals for this game jam?
Me personally I want to see how hard can I work for something I'm really passionate about. I love gamedesign but I've never had the chance to delve into it for more than a couple of hours at a time. I hope I can put in 40 hours of work into this, we'll see how it goes!
Good luck to everybody!
