I tested battles with each number of scrolls, and from what I can understand, they are:

Equipped
Granted Perk
1 scroll
Reveals opponent's weakness in Badass mode, if you already knew it in Normal.
2 scrolls
Reveals opponent's weakness in Badass mode, without needing to know prior.
3 scrolls
Reveals cursed opponent's weakness in Badass mode.

Also, if you equip 2 or 3 scrolls, your battle-moves get color-coded to show their effectiveness:

ColorMeaning
GreyOpponent hates it.
GreenOpponent likes it a little.
YellowOpponent likes it a lot.
RedOpponent's weakness. (Red is only shown with 3 scrolls equipped, otherwise it's colored Yellow.)

Here's an example with 3 scrolls equipped:

Pro-tip: If you discover all of an opponent's weaknesses, you can battle them again at any time by "Renting A Room" through The Dicktionary found in Arthur's Library. 馃檪

"I feel betrayed that there is a heterossexual quests"

There are no heterosexual quests in the game. You get the 'straight' achievement by simply finishing the game (i.e. battling/saving the King) without leveling up your affinity on any Townspeople or Shopkeepers.

You don't actually have to battle a woman. There are no graphics of unclothed women in the game, so your eyes are safe lol 馃ぃ馃ぃ

Step 2: Buy the correct weapons and armour. You have to be considerate of which swords and plugs you get as buying from shop owners increases their affinity (except for Hanth who sells rings).

Here's the items I obtained.

  • You get Wooden Ring and Steel Ring for free early in the game, remember to equip them.
  • I bought Elven Plug + Elven Ring + Morningstar when I completed Whiterain.
  • I bought King's Plug + King's Ring + Scimitar when I unlocked Lavalanch.

Plugs: Elven Plug is bought from Dustridge Vendor. King's Plug is bought from the Barracks Vendor.
Swords: You buy both swords from Selim. These are the exact two you should buy as anything else/more will level up Selim's affinity.
Rings: As said before, buying rings from Hanth doesn't increase affinity. So if you're struggling to beat monsters, just keep buying stronger rings from him.

For the final battle, you can easily beat the King with just the Scimitar + King's Plug/Ring + an inventory of "Stuffed Bull Testicle" for food.

After that, talk to Catherine in Whiterain. Good luck! :)

Step 1: Farm the weakest monster in each region for resources. Skip battles with everyone else unless required to progress through the game.

Weakest monsters are:

  • Forest = Green Twink Orc
  • Dustridge = Green Orc
  • Valley = Yellow Wolf
  • Beach = Liam (battling him levels his affinity, so use caution)
  • Whiterain = Yellow Orc (battling him levels his affinity, so use caution)
  • Feasterra = Green Daddy Orc
  • Golden Sand = Red Twink Orc
  • Lavalanch = Red Wolf
  • Solitude = (Nobody)

About Liam: Liam is farmed for Meat needed to craft Food, so you'll be battling him a lot. Fortunately, he takes a while to level his affinity, I didn't even reach 50% Affinity by the time I beat the King.
Getting Food: Craft food at Valdo's Cooking Pot until you get to the second highest dish, Stuffed Bull Testicles. I completed the game using this dish, which is much easier to obtain than the Orc's Favourite Dish.
Extra Note: Getting the "Came Over" screen doesn't prevent you from unlocking the secret ending, so don't worry if you lose a battle, just try again. :)

I achieved the secret ending thanks to the Youtube video above. It was surprisingly easier than expected, and the game goes by pretty quickly since you're skipping everything you need to do with NPCs. All you're doing is gathering resources to repair your house, the town, and the dungeons, before finally battling the King.

I've written a guide on how to do it in my replies below.

I've completed everything the game has available so far, but still haven't found secret ending either:

Is the Secret ending actually available in 10.0? Maybe we're supposed to complete the story with the King first.

Definitely seems like that would be it. Looks like they weren't kidding about that tweet back on April Fool's Day.

Looks like the devs answered it in another thread https://itch.io/t/2038938/fix-the-telescope

You have to fix the telescope in the castle to see him. Then at night time, his hideout is shown on the map.

I know that the first two slots aren't available yet, but I can't find third slot.

The Red Daddy Orc.

I've been looking everywhere on all three time settings (Day, Evening, Night). I think maybe I actually already got it but its bugged.

Does anyone know where I can get this card?
