i dont believe the soul of the wife is in play at all, other than the angel lying about being her to continue possessing angelicas body without suspicion

i know im probably way too late to help you, but if anyone else is seeing this with the same problem, go to the game files -> www -> img -> weather, then edit the snow png by zooming it into a blank space and saving. its not perfect, and theres still lag when the text shakes, but i was able to make it through the chase :)
