thank you for your feedback, very much appreciated.

thank you

thank you.  and also one question. is r/ gamedev good for posting devlog?

(1 edit)

Hello. I'm a game developer currently working on game called "Hellashapes". Hellashapes is an infinite bullet-hell rougelite platform game with cool mechanics and has a minimalist art style.

When the time comes that I will give an initial release, I want to gather at least some audience that will sure to play the game and give some feedback. The problem is that not much wants to even look of the content and I do not have the slightest clue of how to improve the content or to even find where the right audience is? I even tried posting on youtube, twitter, itch.io and tigsource.

I was hoping if you could give ideas on how to improve the content or how to show my content to others.

Thanks you for your feedback.

I truly appreciate your feedback.  also I started gamedev at 14 so I have almost 2 years of game dev experience. I am starting to make a game at larger scale for the effort of my 2 year game dev experience. The game  has lack of content because the first month was mostly on back end stuff like ground pathfinding, flexible and reusable code, random world generation, etc.

your feedback still gives me motivation to finish my project. Thank you very much.

thanks for your feed back.  my plan is making the map larger is to generate box(what the platform is made of)/ platform ad you progress.

thank you for your feedback

thank you. can i ask you. how can give the game more appealing at first glance?

Hello.

I'm Just a 16 year old game developer wannabe or whatever. I am currently working on a game called "Hellashapes" which is an infinite rougelite bullet-hell platform 2d game where you teleported to a mysterious world that expands as you progress and must fight to survive and become more stronger. I have been making this game for a month but as I progress developing this game, I seem to have loss my passion, determination and motivation for this game. Even visualizing the end product of this feels trashy at my perspective and started think of deleting this project.

I feel like that this game will not stand out even for a tiny amount of viewers and may likely to be a waste of time just to see a bit of gameplay. before deciding the destination of my project. I would like to ask for you feedback about your first impression about the early development of the game.

I also posted a devlog on youtube for more trashy content:

let me know what you think if I should delete my project , or it has potential.

I sorry if it was misleading you. Square domination is a 2player local-coop game, meaning  that is a 2 player game on the same keyboard. There are 2 modes in this game: timed and endless. Timed which is you have to defeat your opponent as much as possible before timer run's out. Endless however is the same goal as timed but without the restriction of a timer.

I hope that you get the idea of what this game actually is.

sorry, it is actually: https://twitter.com/Clyde82884939

In this first devlog series, In will be introducing my game, A square trying to survive in an gravity bending platform and battle enemies. and a little info about me

I really like your game

Thanks  for your feedback. It is very much appreciated.

I appreciate your feedback

thanks let me know your feedback

Your game is cool, I'll give you an A+ if I am your teacher, my only suggestion is that give the player more arrows and make arrows a bit more accessible, But overall, it still a great game.

Also can you play my game please

here is the link

I'm quite happy for your suggestions, and I am making another game , I'm just visualizing the final product and finding other sources to share my devlog. It is surely to be single player.

Also I've checked out your game and it was cool

this game is cool, simple mechanics and endless(my kind of game)

I've appreciate your recommendation. I should have known that my page is so bad. I will put more effort on revamping my page to make people more interested in my game at first glance to make it seemed more appealing and professional.

if you already played my game. I would appreciate your feedback despite how bad my setup

Currently I have make a little game which is a local 2 players shooting game with little fun mechanics.

The sad part is that only little are  interested in  and most are not even interested in even viewing what the game is

 any tips?

Square Domination is a simple local 2-player 3-d Shooting Game viewed in isometric and orthographic view where you as a cube(obviously) are to fight with your brethren(also a cube) and claim victory.

Is the game good enough or is it lacking content and game feel. Let me know in the comments.

link of the game(now playable on browser too):

Impressive Game, I just find it really hard to shoot an enemy while avoiding its attacks but overall it still good.

(if you saw the same post 2 times and your wondering why, it's because the game in the first post is inaccessible at that time because of the settings i have put in my page).
