Thank for the video! Super fun to watch. <3

Thank you! :)

Just played it and made 700k points! :) PLays super fluent and I love the satisfying explosion sound <3

Wun-Der-Schön! <3

No, but should be fixed now :D

Hey :) Just started the game a noticed that the menu is not made for 32:9 screens: https://imgur.com/14j0DEq

In fact, it was more subtle before, but I felt that it didn't tell clearly enough ATTENTION!! DAMAGE AREA!!!
The problem is also, that I've already in many other VFX some little novas, so that this splash dmg vfx must look very different. Learning: Don't put novas in vfx if they are not standing for splash damage :D

oh, that looks nice!

Whooot?! Oh no....why?! Argh!

Very good find! Fixed!
Thank you :)

I will work on the balancing!  :D I just put them in but didn't test yet if they are too crazy. Thanks for the feedback!

Thank you! <3

Both fixed :) Thanks!

Thank you so much for the feedback! Really glad to hear that you liked it and I think you're right, I should add some nice counter in the end screen which shows proudly how much chocolate you collected. I need to check about the sound - maybe it's an issue in the web-version and maybe it runs better when being downloaded or played via itch/steam client.

thanks again for playing!

Thanks for the feedback! <3

Yes, fixing these upgrade-issues is on my list.

And yes, the fog now fades (in my local version) and there's even a sun appearing. sneak peak: https://mastodon.gamedev.place/@simonschreibt/111437597605715471

Nice, thank you! I love, when being open about problems, people come and help out! I'll take a look at my code later.

This is soooo cute! And plays super well! Respect, very cool game!

Haha, I head EXACTLY the same realization. My game started with vertical as well, but at some point i changed it. :D

I like it! :)

Thanks for the Information!

I already thought about making 2 Itch-Pages. One for my Web-Version and one for the "Real"-Version. SharedArrayBuffer-Support creates many problems. Until a short while ago, my Page was completely white when viewed in the Itch-Launcher thanks for the Web/SharedArrayBuffer-Setting. Really wonky :,(

Thank you SO much for taking the time to play my game and also write such a detailed Feedback! <3

About the Camera: There are some weird issues. I've tried in Firefox/Chrome and it runs very fine but a friend of mine showed me a video where the Camera jumps extremely back and forth and it almost feels like an extreme form of Camera Shake. I have no idea what's happening there :( I hope I can reproduce and fix it one day.

About the controls: You're right. I usually move the mouse away from the Screen to play with controller/keyboard. Maybe I should only activate Mouse-Controls after the user clicked a button instead of having just moving the mouse activate the controls. Also interesting: While controller was working well in Firefox, for some reason, it didn't work for me in Chrome. :(

I understand the suggestion for Twin-Stick-Style Gameplay but I think I'll keep it simple and Survivors-Like. For me, focusing solely on position and not having to care too much about the shooting direction is sooo cool. I love it <3 But I will think about your suggestion regarding the firing frequency and the size of the mines (or how to improve visibility of the shippy).

Thanks again!
Simon

Thanks for the feedback! Indeed, it was like that a while ago: You had to donate a laser when you found it. But I changed it later so that it's now a unique quest item. Maybe I need to make the (i)-Icons appear with a nice effect so that you immediately notice, that the quest points somewhere...

p.s. thanks for playing !  :)

Wow, this is very well done. Feels super polished with nice music, satisfying sounds and simple but complex gameplay! Super cool!

Nice update! I've played it and wanted to make "rad" to "ad" but it only allows words with at least 3 letters :D But, I made it to Level2 which is great as a non-native speaker. For my taste, the first level could be even simpler so that one has a very quick feeling of success. Maybe even with only 2 words to complete and in the next levels it's 4, then 6, then 8 ... just to make sure people don't get overwhelmed in the first level. But in any case, great update! <3

Oh, that sounds great! Can't wait for it! :)

I really wanted to look into the game but it only supports full-screen and with that it looks like this on my 32:9 monitor: https://imgur.com/DdyLdQz

Could be nice to support a window mode as well, so that i can change the aspect ratio. <3

Thank you so much for playing and your feedback! I've just made an important update: The controls are different now. Hope you like it! About the text: Yes, I'm struggling a bit with communicating information. It's just so much happening on the screen...

It's a royalty free music: https://motionarray.com/royalty-free-music/far-far-away-939229/

Thank you so much for getting back to me. I hope it was a one-time-glitch. Would be sad if people can't play the game over this weird bug... I pray to the game dev goddess :)

Thank you very much for the nice reply, but why do you think it's less VS? I mean yes, I don't have so much content and I can not offer the same amount of enemies, but the basic idea should resemble VS quite a bit..at least it was my goal :D I'm really interested to hear your perspective on that!

I just tried and both work on my side. Very weird that it does not on your side :,(

Weird...do you download it manually or via Itch-App?

Thank you a lot! I'm working on VFX right now, and later I might go over some sounds again. They are taken from free sound packs. I did not create them by myself.

Thank you so much for your nice feedback! May I ask, what do you mean with "troubles sometimes gauging my remaining health"? Did you have issues reading how much life you have left?

Haha, so funny! I've a VS-Like on my page as well, but it's with a Space Ship and not with a car. Your prototype is super cool. And I think it runs better than mine...you've more enemies, and it runs very fluid. Nice!

I made it to wave 2 <3

"SOLVED". It's actually the setting about the SharedArrayBuffer. This is necessary for Godot4-Projects but breaks the page in the Itch-App.

OK, it's related to this "Kind of Project" setting. When I set it to HTML, the page is WHITE in the App, but when I set it to "Downloadable" it works.

Hey,

the itch-app works perfectly fine for me but for my game it looks like this (it's just a blank white page). Does anyone know why?

Some (weird) things to note which maybe help to find the issue:

✔ You can find the game via search, so it's not unlisted or similar: https://itch.io/search?q=super+duper+space+adventure

BUT you can not find it by searching via just filters (i've updated the game several time today):

There are no errors in the console. When I checked my chrome browser, it said it's up2date.

Super cool game! Really enjoyed playing it. Very impressive with all the nice cutscenes, story, etc.. very well done! <3
