Thank you for trying it out.  I am glad to hear you thought it was fun and appreciate the comment on the graphics and theme.  Those holly bushes can really get you. :)

Thank you for trying it out and for the kind words! I am happy to hear that you enjoyed it and were able to take down the snowman.

Thanks for the tip. I will give it a try.

This is a really fun game. I am enjoying exploring the different movie sets and pressing A by everything to see what I can find or to read all of the great text. I am currently stuck with a white key but not sure where to use it. I used a save state so will revisit.  Clearly I am missing something.

Great job!

When I loaded it up the music hooked me right away.  I was a little confused at first when I started playing the game,  but once I figured it out I really enjoyed it. Having a melee weapon in a shmup is not something I thought was a thing, but when you run out of ammo you have to take the risk and move in close to use it. I think that is a neat element and there is something about the look of that weapon that I really liked. I did not make it through on the first pass, but will certainly give it another try.  Well done.

Thank you.

Read all of the wood signs. 😉

Thank you for giving the game a try!  I am happy to hear that you are enjoying it and appreciate the compliment on the art.

In the beginning when I decided that there would not really be any NPC's around to talk too, I tried to think how I could still tell a story.  That is where the idea for the TV's and the signs came from.  With them I could tell the story and have the main character react with what he is thinking.

That is interesting that the game reset on you at the point you were at. I do apologize for that.  I looked back at the setup and am honestly not certain what would have caused that to happen.  The only reset functionality in the game should be when you are on the win screen and press start,

Thanks for giving the game a try! I am glad to hear that you like the theme.  Much like your wife, I too had wondered if there were any other Christmas themed NES games.  I did some research and could not really find any, so decided to see if I could make one myself.

The enemies should drop gumdrops often enough to replenish your supply. Did you find the staff?
