That HUD is amazing! I love how you combined multiple game genres into one cohesive experience! Music is so good too!

I really enjoyed this game. Loved exploring space, and the battles on each planet. The music really brought the whole experience together.

Wow, just wow! Perfect melding of genres. It's like an RPG and a Shmup rolled into one.  Love the deep ,  meaningful dialog too. The melee weapon is siiiick. Kinda reminds me of radiant silvergun for sega saturn in that regard.  And that ending . .  chills. Great job man! Definitely one of my favorites out of the whole competition.

Thank you for these comments, they mean more to me than you know. I really appreciate it and appreciate you. Your game was fun too and I'm so glad I participated this year. Your comment made my day.

No problem man, I meant every word. I am glad I participated too, it was a month of insanity but it really put a fire under my ass to get something together and I am glad I did it.

When I loaded it up the music hooked me right away.  I was a little confused at first when I started playing the game,  but once I figured it out I really enjoyed it. Having a melee weapon in a shmup is not something I thought was a thing, but when you run out of ammo you have to take the risk and move in close to use it. I think that is a neat element and there is something about the look of that weapon that I really liked. I did not make it through on the first pass, but will certainly give it another try.  Well done.

Thanks! I appreciate the kind comments. I think it's a good reminder to start the player off easy, even in an open world like this. Thanks for your words and I'm so glad you managed to find the QBOX.

Nice spin on a Shmup turned Adventure. The music is very engaging. just careful with the tile placement. dont leave a gab one tile away from the edges or youll get stuck :P

Thanks FJ! I thought I got them all but found another two after submitting. Appreciate the feedback and comment.

Great job with this one, and I really liked the heartfelt ending as well!

This game is fun! I like single screen shooters; a shooter/adventure mash-up.  I didn't realize I could talk to the ships but once I immersed myself it all made sense. One crystal down!

It's an actual game and it's fun! Nice job.

I really dug the soundtrack, some fantastic tunes there.

Fun game, I like all the exploring you can do. I need to learn to ration my ammo better. I kept going back to the base for more.

Thanks Paul! I credited you in my extra info since you helped me troubleshoot on the FB forums. I tried to make it clear but there's a second weapon that can be found underneath the space station - you fly right, then down, then around the corner and up through the bottom. That weapon has short range but unlimited ammo.

I did find it, but i didn't realize what I had. I wasn't using it right. I'll give it another shot soon.
