Making games solo can end up being pretty boring. How about we do one together? Coding is my main strength, but I can also do a bit of drawing on Photoshop and composing on Lmms. Hit me up!
The controls are a little it wacky and you can do wall jumps that I suppose aren't really intended. The jumps seem small compared to the size of the game. You could improve the pixel art by using a pixel camera and keeping pixel sizes the same for all sprites. Finally, having to kill all enemies and collect all coins is a little bit annoying to finish the levels. Other than that, it is a good first game. How did you make the small ambient sprites?
