First time playing I killed the first zombie but then lost all control of my character. Quit and started again but couldn't recreate the bug.

I got into the forest, hit something that had a prompt to pick it up but I was too eager and I think it exploded. I was then stuck in a face down position, I could still move but was invincible. I could roll to get out of it but then had no movement. Using the left stick just made me face that direction and not walk, I could still attack and roll but not move.
