Hey everyone,

please if you find any bugs, post them here!

Known bugs:

  • Dying while picking something up breaks the game sometimes
  • Stagbeetle will move vertically for no reason and be invincible because of that
  • Some UI Buttons might not show the right key
  • Non Xbox Controllers will not see the right button prompts. They will still work though!
  • Input for keyboard is not normalized - moving diagonally will be faster than moving straight

Are the LadyBugs supposed to turn invisibe once they see me or is this not intended?

Developer

No, usually the ladybugs dont do anything. Let me check on that!

They turn invis once i get in range and then the shadows start attacking me, please send help :(

I got the same bug, the first enemies of the game went invisible the moment they saw me, and then attack me while being invis.

I got into the forest, hit something that had a prompt to pick it up but I was too eager and I think it exploded. I was then stuck in a face down position, I could still move but was invincible. I could roll to get out of it but then had no movement. Using the left stick just made me face that direction and not walk, I could still attack and roll but not move.

Developer

Yes, I think there is an issue when you die while picking something up. I will take a look!

Found bugs so far for Take Care:

1: Big beetle moves from ground to Y axis above player sometimes during combat.

2: Explosive barrel when hurts player gets them stuck in some weird animation where the player is face down.

3: Movement randomly locks out during combat and will get randomly unstuck.

Great demo! The artstyle, the environment and the story go so well! However here are some bugs I found

  • When in dialogue, the wrong key to close the window is displayed. I see it is a left click UI (or at ppears to be) but dialogue closes with the E key for keyboard
  • The dialogue UI and the UI in general seems to be cropped for large aspect ratios and resolutions. I am running on 2560x1080 and I didn't know there was health and coins UI, which was hidden on the top left! As well as the dialogue is somewhat cropped on the second line of any dialogue.
  • Some houses that seem to have a portch are blocked by some colliders. I believe that you just added a big box collider and not make it accurate, which is fine! But some times I want to walk near some houses and I can't.

These are just some bugs that I found, but they seem to be very specific to some displays and machines. Doubt they are high on your bug priority list, however, I can support the game like this :) Keep it up!

hi i posted the video on youtube i hope you dont mind, if you do tell me and i will put it down. maybe you wanted to see someone play, plus is easyer to see the bugs

Developer

Totally fine! Will have a look right away!

Developer

I hear a bunch of sound twice in your video. Was that a thing while playing or is that a recording issue?

hi, i belive is a recording issue. will check on it tomorrow

Came here to report the stag beetle bug but I see it's already there, so I'll just post this one:

Pause menu doesn't pause the game itself, which can lead to death by enemy attacks while you're paused :)

Developer

yes, that is by design :)

Hello, I've tried the demo and I'm here to report two serious issues I've noticed:

1 - You shouldn't allow UI elements to be deselected. I understand that you want to prioritize playing with a controller, but if for any reason you use the mouse and click outside of an element, the focus is lost, and you're forced to close the game completely to continue. You should either display the mouse cursor to allow reselecting the menu or simply prevent the focus from being lost when clicking outside of the UI.

2 - I see that you're not normalizing the movement vector. This causes the player to move faster diagonally. You can fix this by simply normalizing the final direction movement vector, and that's it :)

Edit: thank god you have removed the stamina, I HATE those system, in this case, it doesn't add anything to the gameplay; it only causes annoyance.

Developer

Thank you for your feedback, will be fixed in the next patch!
