Nope I use koikatsu. It might look different because I manually edit the characters' textures sometimes to make them look better, and I use a reshade shader to make the lighting a bit better. I'd like to use a different engine to render the scenes if/when it becomes a possibility.
Nintendo like to claim DMCA violations on fan works, and have been known to give out Cease & Desists to fan games. That and actually stalking homebrew developers.
