Chill game, maybe even too chill in parts. I found the pixel art pleasant and had a good time beating the game. There could be even more to it: bounce pads, toggleable teleporters, etc.

Fairly fun little game though it's more focused on movement precision than puzzles. It's also a bit hard on eyes.

Fun little puzzle game. I had a good time finishing it. The mechanics are simple and intuitive yet there's still decent puzzle variety with them.

Pretty neat game, though it does feel very gimmicky. It started to get unfun for me at the long wind level with repeated precise jumps. I'd love to see more gimmicks instead of the levels becoming long and very precise. For example the platform could shoot projectiles to trigger switches in some levels.

I'm not sure what I just played through but it was pretty amazing! Nintendo should lowkey make warp pipe animations function like this, though I think Miyamoto would agree that you made the Fire Flower a bit overpowered :P

I didn't end up using it. I had fun figuring out solutions on my own (even if there was some guesswork with springboard physics)

Quite fun and works really smoothly.

There's nothing particularly new in this game but it's always a pleasure to watch numbers go up.

The game is a bit too simple to my liking, but it works. Maybe there could be more dodging involved?

libGDX Jam 26 community · Created a new topic I'm scared

If I install a libGDX game, does someone lose money somewhere? What if I install it again?

Feels a bit simple and repetitive at times, but it's definitely a solid and charming platformer game. I'll try to finish it.

Beat it on hard as well

Solid tower defense game with some quite cool towers. Beat it on normal!

you should probably make your game free and run in browser so people would play it

Pretty cool puzzle game with a fairly unique yet intuitive premise.

Feels like a great base for a 3d platformer, wow. Just missing a consistent FPS value.

I was able to figure this out pretty quickly, but there should probably be some ingame tutorial message clarifying the feature. Something as simple as "Store all the coins inside the chest to clear the level" so the player knows what they are supposed to do.

Short, clever game. I had a good time with it.

and I would've brought this AI-generated glowing pizza:

What am I going to do with it now?? Any suggestions are appreciated

I never really got the point of these kinds of games, but this does have a pretty nice game feel to it. Getting more guns around you to shoot at foes is fun. That's a system I'd like to see being expanded upon.

the physics feel... off...

This is a fun game for how simple it is. The game feel is great and the combat feels smooth.

This looks very cool and ambitious, but I'm kinda put off by the amount of text and the very basic RPG Maker UI look. Stuff like PoC is fun because it's so elegant, though I hate what PoC 2.0 has become.

It's very easy to underestimate the difficulty level, considering that the developer is familiar with their own game. I've often seen players struggle in areas that I didn't even intend to be difficult. Another important thing is that games are supposed to be fun. Most people will become frustrated in games like this and drop them very fast. Keeping things fun and difficult at the same time for most players is a hard task.

Your game being easier would properly showcase its main premise: changing between very different gameplay formats. I see like 95% of players being never able to explore this exciting premise, dropping the game due to getting frustrated with the janky platforming in beginning instead.

Specifically the early platforming sections are very harsh. Jumps are precise, checkpoints are limited and the physics of the green jump walls are not super easy to use to your advantage.

I think you should make the game easier or at least have an option for that. It has some pretty cool ideas but I think it's too hard and finicky for most people to be enjoyable.

This is a good puzzle game. Planning out moves successfully is quite satisfying.

Awesome

This has a really nice game feel to it.

I found it oddly satisfying to fly this thing.

https://solartest.itch.io/snow-season

Snow Season is a short platformer I made for a game jam. Its main gameplay feature is snow blocks. They appear active at first but are actually inactive, creating traps and secret passages.

I think these kinds of games just aren't very enjoyable as planning your moves feels pretty demanding and unintuitive. Maybe an undo functionality would be nice?

Enemies don't give gold if you fail to kill them and they reach the base. This means you get less money for future waves so you'll fall behind. Kingdom Rush games for example give money even if enemies reach your base.

I gave it a go. It's a pretty solid TD base.

Some thoughts:
- early waves feel a bit too difficult

- wave difficulty scales a bit weirdly

- tower balance felt a bit off with the cheapest tower having solid damage for its cost and others feeling like falling behind.

- escaping enemies don't give gold which can cause the game to spiral out of control

I'll give the Android version a try later as it's apparently level-based.

functional game but not very exciting as it's just a simple clicker

Finished the game. It feels good to play but I think there could be more gameplay variety as the obstacles consist of just basic blocks and spikes.

That's some great music, I like it!

I played through the easy mode, pretty solid platformer. My biggest gripe is that using water projectiles doesn't feel worth doing since it costs life. This renders the gameplay pretty basic.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm also really happy with how it turned out, though it's definitely a game that requires a certain kind of mindset to get into.
