Thank god!! Artfight just started and I lost focus for a few days.

My remake of "In Another World With My Shotgun" is a RPG/Visual Novel hybrid. I was wondering if that's allowed, as long as it still has visual novel elements?

I couldn't sit through the 10 minute dialogue at one point so I'm gonna wing the rest of it if possible TOT (scratch that, I found txt. files with the dialogue. Thank god)

I've been been sitting here for 10 minutes waiting for this villager's dialogue to end. There is no god. 0/10

visually i mean. you're even advertising it as a cheaper minecraft alternative. you already have an offer, i don't see how one opinion'll really affect your post.

all due respect, expecting someone to buy what is essentially modded minecraft is setting yourself up for failure. 

Hi! I just started learning game development for an upcoming project of mine. I'm planning to work on both art an programming. Not as skilled programming as I am in artwork, but I'm hoping to learn a lot from working on my project. Only plan to have a small team of around 5-6 people at most since I don't want to be too ambitious.  Would be great to have your help!

A basic rundown of HHH:

  Happy-Happy High follows 18 year old Maeko Oyama, who's convinced herself that her school is riddled with a dark, negative energy. Dead set on the idea that she's the school's savior, she cooks up a plan to eliminate fellow students who play a part in the school's atmosphere. From misunderstood delinquents and bullies, to loners, and even nasty teachers, Maeko will stop at nothing to keep her school environment a happy place for teachers and students a like. By any means. 

Your main objective will be eliminating students until your atmosphere bar is at 100% by the start of summer. Failing to eliminate a target by the end of each week will result in a game over.

What do I need?

Unfortunately, I'm not a jack-of-all trades. I can write and draw, but the rest is out of my expertise. (More positions will be needed in the future!)

-3d Modeler and Animators (3 positions)
-Musician (1 position)
-Concept artists, Environment design, reference sheet artists (1 position)
-Voice actor(s) (2 positions)

About Maeko:

Maeko has always felt a deep emptiness inside her, even through her happiest moments, she always felt her emotions to be superficial. Eventually, as she grew older, she convinced herself that in order to be fulfilled, she had to sacrifice her own happiness and spread it to others. So she spread positivity and love to those around her. But after a close encounter with death, she would slowly begin to develop a strange delusion that would change everything.

  Maeko insisted she attend a boarding school, and with rich parents like hers, they were more than happy to pay the expenses. Since attending the school, she's become very friendly with most of the her classmates, often bringing them baked sweets and gifts. With a reputation like hers, no one would ever suspect she could commit murder.

                    Originally, H.H.H was supposed to be a Yandere Sim mod, however, due to numerous roadblocks with editing the code, I decided to make the mod a standalone game.

School Environment:

The game will take place in a luxurious boarding school, housing over 50 students in it's walls. With constant (but somewhat subtle) supervision, eliminating classmates won't be a walk in the park.  Everywhere you look, someone will be watching, so it's up to you to find blind spots within the school and use them to your advantage. The school itself will be small in size, as to not confuse the player. As of now, there are 3 main sections planned for the map: The main building, living quarters, and a cafeteria. More may be added once I get the game out of the planning phase.  The first build will include a few classrooms and clubrooms, as well as test weapons.


Planned targets (so far):

These are code names, by the way! ^^

*Medusa - A lonely school girl who is undergoing severe bullying after a nasty rumor breaks out on campus. Having several classes with her, Maeko can't help but notice her constant melancholy. It makes her sick to her stomach.

*Nightshade - Self proclaimed "leader" of a small group of delinquents. Lately he's been terrorizing the gardening club after hours, halting most of the club's activities. Maeko's never liked trouble makers liked trouble makers like him. 

*Nemesis - After the death of Medusa, Nemesis was overcome with grief. However, after searching through her friends diary one night, she finds a lead. There's only one person who could have possibly killed her. And that's you. But she can't report you without evidence. Now with Nemesis constantly stalking you, you'll need to lay low if you want to eliminate her successfully.


Planned possible mechanics:

*Maeko will be able to befriend students who can help her with various favors such as creating diversions, false reporting, spreading rumors, and even covering up murder! However, these can only be used in moderation, and relying on them too much can result in your friend cutting ties with you. (This will make you unable to befriend them again in your playthrough).

*"Friendship level" that can be raised through talking and gifting things to your friends, as well as completing tasks for them. The higher  you raise it, the more favors you unlock (like the ones listed above)

*Various elimination methods such as gossiping, expulsion, poisoning, asphyxiation,  matchmaking, befriending, counseling, murder, murder-suicide, vehicular manslaughter, and much much more!

*A "mood bar" that serves as a health bar. Getting spotted, losing friends, and gossiping are some of the few ways you can significantly lower your mood. To raise your mood back up, you can read a book, watch the school fish, draw, or talk to friends.

*3 separate endings depending on how you eliminate all of your targets (genocide, pacifist,  neutral, and a secret ending)

*Curfews and punishments
