Hyperspace is a small little game that I made in 3 hours for the hell of it. Not original at all.

Played the game and recorded my reaction. Pretty decent atmosphere but maybe a bit buggy as it kept crashing on me and couldn't continue past a current point, then again I don't know if that was intentional or not because I don't know the specifics behind the mod.
But anyways, here is my reaction to the game. I suggest playing it and supporting the developer before watching.

If you are still having problems, right click on the player controller in the scene you are working with and hit "Make Local" and you then you can rotate the camera to change the direction that player is facing without messing with its movement
Hopefully this helps someone, I had a similar issue but was watching a video and saw someone do it.
first off, love the pack. currently using it for my project rn. i was just wondering if i could have the pallete used to make the pack so i can edit things, and make it cohesive to the style. ive tried ripping the pallete from the image but there are little discrepinsies and i dont get all the colour

the background is procedural, its just i tiled tilemap set made in tiled that extends 50000 pixels... and for the fps, the game is supposed to detect if there is at least 20 enemies and it will begin deleting them until the it is below that certain amount but i didnt get ample time to work out the bugs even tho i believe play testing wasnt apart of the stipulation but i count that in my own mind so yea
Hello, I just discovered the Jam today and instantly thought of one of my favourite shows I used to watch as a kid, Wacky Races. I know I am about 35-40 years to young to even realistically know what this cartoon is but good thing Boomerang exsisted so I would know all of my favourite shows like Yogi Bear, Maggilla Gorrilla, Captain Caveman and The Teen Angels, Jabberjaw, Speedbuggy, Scooby Doo(though this one I would know of because it has remained relevant), Huckleberry Hound, Hair Bair Bunch, Hong Kong Phooey and so much more...
But anyway, I decided to make a game about Wacky Races. Wacky Races was one of my favourite shows, we got to see so many different characters from other cartoons racing each other in a very wacky way so I thought it would make the perfect game for this jam, and I know most people here are making or have made a table top game for this jam but I cannot make one(trust me, I've tried) so I decided to make a video game because that's what I do best, sad that that's the thing I do best at because I am not that good at it. But I will send updates on the games progress here because I am a person who needs to be reassured about my work.

to add multiple weapons, you just use the other slots in the weapons menu... then through the editor you have to place them throughout the map, make sure they have an icon to be place into the world. then while in game you can use 1-8
most things are answered in the manual which you can find under the ? on the top bar
yea i already got it fixed on my end... i more or less wanted to report this oddly specific issue just in case if someone else were to do it to... the project was new anyway so i only lost ten minutes of work anyway
edit: I did just try to recreate it, but wasnt able to for some reason... i dont know what fixed it... i could be me clearing my project list and deleting game.exe, but even restoring that version of game.exe or any build that had bug it seemed to be fixed so i am confused
I found a bug i would like to report, for the most part i havent ran into many bugs other than small ones... this one however kinda messed up all my projects...
pretty much what i did, which was completely my fault, i changed the name of the folder i had my project in from /New Folder (2) to / Rougle.
i honestly didnt expect it to break things and definatly didnt expect it to break every project i had causing this bug, idk if caused anything else... i am still on the lite version until friday...
edit : i decided to check the Error.log and nothing was there about the issue itself
Ah, this one is quite simple... its less about what you do in the engine and what you do in the settings of the game itself...
in the config.ini file
lightingquality=3 perpixellighting=1
this is what needs to be changed, i was just tweaking things and found it out and it looked nice... i hope this is what did it because I tweaked several things... this does mean, unless you change menu.script to not allow it to change, the player can turn it off but it doesnt effect performence so much so unless they want a more "authentic" lighting, they shouldnt really change it. if it doesnt work, ill just send you the .ini file itself, since it doesnt contain any game code, just usable data for the engine, it should be fine
I was able to do it pretty well
thank you for the help
the script
vn 1 text "You Smash The Glass With Your Elbow." give weapon 2 entity delete me map return
so far, the scripting seems pretty simplified... you did a good job, this engine can be used with no code to make good games and when you do need code to do things. the code is really easy and shouldnt really hinder the possibilities, i did look through some of the other posts to look at it
i did want the glass to hurt you, but i kinda thought it would be unfair to take damage for no reason so i took it out... also, dont mind the glitched UI... i need to adjust the resolution on the heart
