This is a very fun Papers, Please type game - very impressed this is fit within Pico8, and the range of rules is fun and gets quite challenging on the harder levels

I want to highlight that the winner here is being pretty dishonest. Titan Nova Pinball has taken the open source code and assets for Terra Nova Pinball (see here: https://spaghettieisgames.itch.io/terra-nova-pinball) and changed the name of the developer and title. The work involved is changing maybe 1 sprite and 2 strings within the code. You can find the GitHub repo they used with the developement history here: https://github.com/xietanu/pico8-pinball

As such, this doesn't seem within the spirit of the jam at all (the original game was developed over a longer period 2 years ago, and crucially not by them). I wouldn't kick up a fuss if they hadn't won anything, but this really sucks for the others who entered this jam honestly and lost out to someone who just slapped their name one someone else's work.

I made the code for this open source because the Pico-8 community is great about support and sharing, and if a developer wants to build on what I made to do their own thing that is very cool. But this is essentially a scam with next to no effort and zero creativity involved.

I'm sorry I couldn't flag this earlier, I was only just made aware. I hope it's not too late to do something about it. I'm also sorry to the other developers who lost out because of this.

Hey, my name's Matt. I'm not necessarily looking for a group (particularly as I'm going to be quite busy in the early part of the jam). I'm a data scientist by day (so very much an amateur on game dev) and want to use this to learn a Unity a bit better, having made some stuff in Pico-8 before. Main skills are around coding, but want to get better at art.

Looking forward to seeing what people make!
