I got the same message on the app.  I was able to use my browser to download the update - maybe try that?

Sorry for confusing you!  The button I meant when I said 'settings button' was this one:

If you click that button, you get a popup with a "Manage" button:

If you click that, it changes to this screen:

THAT'S where I was seeing the "Show in Finder" option.  (It can be a real bugbear to find Itch games on a Mac, otherwise.  And you usually have to, to open them for the first time.)

Click settings button next to launch, then click manage, then "Show in Finder."  Open by right-clicking and confirm you want to allow the game to run on this Mac.  Should be fine after that.

How do I attend the elemental magic classes?  Are they only at certain times of day?

Would love to see a sexual preferences option be added in the future, too!

On an unrelated note, it would be nice to see transmen/transmasc characters as well as transwomen.  I'd also like to have sexier clothing options for male characters - open button-downs, booty shorts, g-string/thong style bikinis, and the like.

Can't get the Mac version to run, even after extracting from the .app.tar and doing the right click to open -> "allow game to run."

Where exactly have you checked?  I've found her in the Abandoned Town Park, in the City Jail/Police Station, and in Transylvania.

I had the same problem, until finally I installed and ran it through the Mac itch client.  Have you tried that?

Playing this demo reminded me of the time I tried to explain being demisexual to my parents.  We need more games like this, and I look forward to the full release!
