This is a great game! At first I was sceptical because the first few islands felt impossible to beat. Then I got lucky with the generation, got really hooked and played multiple matches.
Like Mr. Nikau said below, I think it would be great to understand what the enemies were doing. Personally, I'd love to be able to hover over an enemy island and see all tiles they gained or lost highlighted.

Then I am glad we think the same way! :

Wow I've seen a lot of bad traffic in this game but never ever someone who managed to block all lanes at the same time.No offense, but I think it is funny you managed to do that.
Still sorry you didn't seem to enjoy the game.

Thank you very much - glad you liked it! :)

Yeah, I've seen multiple people struggle a lot with the hard difficulty - Having 3 seconds left is actually very good!

It's impressive how nice this game looks and feels with such minimalistic designs. Especially the bounce of the platforms and the small movements of the character feel great :)

Playing was well worth it! Didn't want it to sound like I didn't enjoy it :D

You absolutely nailed the kirby-like feel!
Both the Aesthetics and the gameplay really feel like Kirbys Dreamland without seeming copied at all.
My favourite mechanics are the bells and the crouching :)

I should have listened to you and downloaded the windows version. I almost beat boss 3 but then a right-click context menu opened up xD
Very cool game - and very hard despite having just two buttons.
I like how all bosses have very unique behaviour which escalated very well.

Usually, a fight against multiple enemies gets easier the longer it goes - unless the game decides to randomly spawn even more enemies.
In this game, the fight may get harder, the more enemies you bubble! Great concept.

Wow, even though you explained it so well, it took me a lot of tries to make it there. Thanks for telling me - I think that is fun though so I'll leave it in for now :)

Yeah, I was very sad when I found out another game company also used the name Ape Egg ...
But I also like Squid Knight, so I am happy again :)

The update for the web version only changes the logo - the Windows version has updates to the gameplay feel and the Visuals.
I don't know how easy it is to create a linux build but I may look into it

Not only alive but also feeling well ;)

I took a break. I'm not sure when Shotgun Wedding will receive any more updates - I want to focus on new smaller projects for now.

Hey, I just uploaded an update which improves how the gameplay feels and the looks have also gotten some updates :)

Thank you very much! Glad you like it :)

We have build the whole game from the ground up so we have a solid base for future updates. We have some new functionality, but not that much content to present it with. We might be able to upload a demo video in the next few weeks.

Oh man I'm very sorry to hear that. Sounds messy - I guess the carpet is ruined anyway

Oh wow, that is extremely unlucky - but also kinda funny

Yeah, ratings are very useful to us :)

Thank you for sharing your jokes. My roommate and I enjoyed them :)

I sure hope so! :'D  I already think jumping around feels better and it does look better.

Yeah, children are not the only thing that can be really annoying on a highway. But as long as no one behaves like the player in Are We There Yet, it's okay I think :)

I hope they can resist that urge!

The next update will take time. We decided to spend a lot of time on the base of the game, so the rest of development will go smoothly :)  Glad you are still eager to see more from us!

(1 edit)

Thanks for the feedback, Ham!
You mean that it would be good to have some cracks on the ground, more stones falling from the roof and similar things?

Glad you enjoyed the demo :)

Sorry, I don't understand what you are asking.

Thank you for telling us, we might upload another version later. For now I think it is okay :)

It took me quite some time to prepare the sounds and other effects. Very glad it worked well on you :D

The game now has a timer - you just have to enable it in the options menu :)

Thank you a lot for your effort! A lot of stuff will be fixed in a patch in a few days. If you really want to do some testing, it would be best, if you waited for it.
I think it will also be more fun for you :)

Yeah, that's a good idea! In the next few days, we'll upload an update. At the end of it, there will be a sign explaining that it is a demo and more will be available in the future. Do you think that is enough or should we put an under construction sign somewhere else as well?

Thank you for the bug report. We knew the bug existed for a while now, but you are the first user to point it out - well spotted! This won't be fixed in the next patch, but it is on our to do list :)

Thank you for your feedback. Now that at least 2 people want to play with controller, I'll mark it as higher priority :)

Yeah, when the controller support is added, we will make it optional instead getting rid of the mouse controls. Good idea.

Yeah, I made a 3D animation which should play when you start the downloaded windows version of the game. The Egg and the Ape were also both made by me :)

Thank you for the info! That cactus is a bit of a trublemaker. We changed some things, so he may not fall down in the next patch. We really need to make him much smarter though, so we will overhaul his behaviour later on :)

Great idea! We were wondering if we should add a timer in the patch this week or not. Because you asked for it, we will add it :) Thanks Gandy

Sounds intriguing. Good luck with that!

Yeah, I totally understand. We wanted to upload an improved version (no major bugs and an okay ending) today, and didn't manage it yet. Do you think you will continue with your project?

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed our game. :)  We're currently wondering ourselves how we develop the art style. What exactly to create in 3D and what in 2D will be a hard question to answer.
