It's hard to add anything more to what Philip said, so I'll just leave an extra tip. Add a brief instruction in the game that contains controls and explanation of the player's goal. Then give it to someone else to play it for additional opinion. It would suck to loose opportunity to get feedback, just because the player has to figure things out on his own and focus on that instead of the game itself.
I really love the idea that you make obstacles for yourself to move faster. Controls are responsive and the driving model feels pretty good too. I liked the audio and visuals too, they combined give a cool retro vibe to the game. The only thing that was missing for me was some kind of an engine sound.

Cool game and a really fun concept! Too bad the platformer element gets insane pretty fast, it's really hard to progress through the game from the second checkpoint
