Hey! Saw your post on Facebook and wanted to offer some advice.

The general platforming is fun, the art style is simple but I enjoyed it.

I wish there were a run mode, just because there’s a lot of long hallways. I know any changes to speed would add considerations for the existing levels and jump spacing - Maybe you could increase momentum if you haven’t jumped in awhile?

There was a split where I went into the run hallway but missed some other jump puzzles, it would be nice to be able to get to that checkpoint from the main menu. I tried this, went to the wrong level, accidentally clicked new game and my save was erased. Not a big deal for a demo but something to iron out. Possibly: checkpoints don’t get deleted, and the continue menu has images of each checkpoint.

Really solid for what it is though 🙌

The intro was really cool! FYI I could only hear it from my left headphone, it might be be but I’m not sure if you used Audio2D or something, just thought I should let you know. Really cool presentation, love the art and good job with the sounds. The ragdoll/physics swimming ended up looking really cool. Great job :)

Let me start off by saying the sprite-work is amazing. The titlescreen and game page instantly blew me away. I was having trouble with the dialog at the beginning, I kept accidentally skipping over the part where he explains the instructions. And even then, I think there’s something wrong with the mouse tracking. My cannonball just goes straight up, but I never managed to kill anybody. I tried both the HTML version and the windows exe. Issues with controls aside, a lot of work was put into this and it shows. Good job!

Wasn’t really sure what was going on, but I think if you removed the UI and made the player not die, it would make for an interesting fish simulator, or at the very least a cool looking screensaver. The fog and the noises and the fish and the environment are all great and it was definitely a neat experience. Good job! Debug mode was left on btw

Wow! This is really cool. I didn’t understand at first but once I did it’s super intuitive and fun! I could really imagine this game polished up a bit and released as a full experience. I could go a bit crazy with the currents to make a ship do what I wanted, but it would be nice to see either a limit, or some kind of goal to hit. Great job!

Really good idea! Stays within the theme and is super original. I had a lot of fun with the first power, but the second one didn’t seem to be effective. It looked cool though. The first one, the “falling fish” one, seemed to rake in more than 10 fish per use, so I hit it when I’d see any boat and be rolling in it. Very interesting! Good job!

The graphics and sound were really cool! I liked the different types of fishes. I couldn’t get very far because I kept getting stuck in hit-stun but I really enjoyed the presentation.

Neat game! I liked exploring the environment. I thought it was interesting how you couldn’t look up or down, only with tank-controls. The realization that the world under the water line was much bigger than the few island you can see at the beginning was really cool. I would have liked a draw-distance setting, and maybe some power-ups or work on the traversal system could make exploring feel more fluid. Good job!

thank you! 🤩

thank you! I'll keep that in mind 😄
