There are no instructions on how to play your game. I don't even know what a .pocket file is. Have to disqualify the submission.

Its works for me now! Confused a bit on the controls, but its totally playable.

Hey! People seem to be unable to get your game to work. Ive had multiple people ask on the discord if anyone has been successful at getting it to run.

you are more than welcome to make updates to the game. I havent locked the submissions :)

Love the idea! As others have said, the player moves a little too fast. After finding the third set of platforms on the red side, I got a little lost at where to jump too. I couldn't beat it and gave up after a bit. It's a neat idea though, and I would encourage you to keep working on it! :)

Hey! Just started playing your game, there seems to be a bug going down the stairs in level 1 room 2 after defeating all the enemies that makes the level super small, and I can't seem to move around, or if I can, it's off screen. Nice job! Love the art style you went with.

Unfortunately I don't use Unity, so I can't help you. Hopefully someone else comes along and has an answer for you!

which shader link are you looking at? Also, feel feee to join the discord to get faster answers. I'm sure someone can help out if I can't.

it's up to you to interpret the theme. Yes, I think that fits.  The constraint is largely to keep people from submitting games that weren't made within the jam period. Plus it makes us more creative ;)

By a landslide! Unusual Protagonist - i.e. inanimate object, animal/vehicle, geometric shape

Hey! Lots of folks on the discord https://discord.gg/fQcWbTGef4 #find-a-team channel that would probably be interested in collaborating!

Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

As long as jam participants can play the game, and it looks retro id say its fine. I'd honestly never heard of the console before this post.

i would say generally nothing NSFW. That's a pretty strict requirement bcz the games entered into the jam get streamed on twitch.

yes, as long as jam participants can play the game.

Can you clarify? Do you mean an actual existing NES/Atari game, or do just mean one that looks like Atari or NES? Or are you meaning taking something you made for an emulator that runs on NES/Atari?

Fantastic art, music, and story. I thought some of the combat was a little slow and confusing to figure out at first. But, I got the hang of it eventually. Nice take on the jam constraint as well!

I'm not sure how this fit the jam constraint of not the main character, but by far my favorite one to play. So entertaining. Though I had trouble getting the hang of the controls. Wasn't super clear from the page what it took to hit the other players.

This was cute! I didn't enjoy being the healer and not the big bad hero, but that was the theme constraint, so well done!

I'm not quite sure how to play the game. If you could add some controls instructions to the game to make it clear how to play. I couldn't figure out what to do. would really help give it a better rating.

The game should be 2D matching the SNES as best you can.

I would normally say that's fine. But if you're planning on developing for the OUYA the judges for this jam are going to have a hard time playing your game. You're welcome to try, but I'd recommend planning a build for pc as well as whatever you do for the OUYA

You are not the main character

I would love to play this game! It loooks sooo good.

Thanks for the feedback. The name Essence of Grimm is actually a homage to Dark Souls. Definitely get the size complaint. I always try to bring the size down a bit, but unreal makes that difficult.
