I tried this (out of curiosity) but was unable to replicate. That being said, are setups have some major differences.  I'm on linux Mint 22 (based off of ubuntu 24.04) game version v0.18.0 (I didn't want to upgrade with that large file for just seeds which I was already producing.) Also, I'm on kernel 6.11, not 6.08.

With the differences, this doesn't mean a heck of a lot other than its not a widespread issue.  Hitting the D key did absolutely nothing for me.

tbh, I was hoping to wait for 0.19 before I download the 13GB file.  (when it gets finished.) I'll try again if I have some time to make the upgrade to v0.18.2

I'm not sure. I double click on the file and get a dialog box with "Extracting..." and it never progress, stuck in a infinite loop.

As I mentioned though, the windows zip file does contain the shell scripts as well as other RenPy libraries needed to run on native linux

FYI... I had some problems with the bzip2/tarball file that I downloaded for linux. That said, I downloaded the windows zip file and that included all the native linux files as well.

I bought Season1 on Steam not long after it was released there. About a year ago, I found out that season 2 was in development and available on itch, so, I bought it.

Now that Season 2 is available on Steam, I wanted to know if there are any tangible differences? I realize that steam will have achievements and likely trading cards but is there any content differences between the steam and itch releases?

I ask about the differences for both seasons because I noticed that the itch version of season 1 uses 2GB of space, yet the steam version of Season 1 wants to use almost 3GB to install. So does the steam version have more content, or better renders? or even a little less compression on the files?

Also, no Tux (penguin) icon currently for the pc version. Happily, (as a linux user,) I can confirm the the shell script and necessary files for linux do exist in the zip file.

The update contains an additional 25,000 words, 1420 renders, and 69 videos...

69 videos!?! hmmm, was this intentional as a good number to stop at?  :P

Saves from before 0.11 will not work. However, if you start a new game, you'll get the option to skip right to the new content

Actually, @Abigail is correct.  The default depends a lot on where you live.

I live in the US and here mm/dd/yyyy is by far the most common. However, I do have friends and Europe so I do know that they commonly see dd-mm-yyyy. I admit that I did not know about Asia using year/month/day, I am a computer programmer and with programming yyyy-mm-dd is common because that is the only format mentioned here that does not need to be changed in order for programs to sort the date chronologically.

Basically I asked the question for verification. Logically, I assumed the date was written in European format as using the common format for the US was a date that had already past; although a typo was still a small possibility.

If you have the download from itch (paid) there is no need for any "patcher"; The version here includes xxx/h-scenes and no mosaics.

Lewd Patcher is at best a pirate tool which robs the creator of his hard work and content... At worse, Lewd Patcher is a virus/trojan program designed to take over your computer. In any case you should not use it.

I'm not sure why you would have audible alerts on your phone set for game updates; after all,  I know I'm fine with just refreshing my feed page once a day. But, I'm sure there is a good reason for you to set the alerts loud enough to wake you /s

In season 2,  replay "Ruby 7" gives an error in one of the images....

Image 'c04_ruby_blow' not found.

Obviously, the above filename has no extension, but if that is something then RenPy assumes, it might be due to case sensitivity of file names on linux. (my platform.)

From the exterior view, there is room for an addition floor of the hotel.  The new floor can house some side characters in order to elevate them to main character... Like Hana (damn, she's cute.) Maybe even Autumn's sister would want/need to move in due to unexpected problems at the cafe.

The extra room on the second floor can be decorated like a love hotel. Give it a heart shaped bed, big tv continually streaming porn or a video to tape the current action. Use it as an initiation chamber to initiate the girls into the harem, or for threesomes where you want to start in a "neutral" room.

With all the talk about adding town content, How about another way to make money.

Maybe run a 3 card monte game in the slums.

Or, one of the female character could be a "house mom" in the strip club. The do not actually strip, but they provide things for the strippers like selling condoms, water, pasties, and glitter. They also sell additional outfits at a profit for the strippers.

Starting a new game. I avoid choices with Skylar.  I always choose the coldest response to her, I never have any fun with her, refuse to use her skateboard, refuse to even give her a hug after she returns from being missing.

No matter how cold I am to her, I never get anywhere with Jessica. (Somehow I always end up at dinner with Skyler at  the Fancy restaurant; but I suspect that is to advance the story with Alice.)

Glad that you are back and that the current situation is resolved.

I can understand why so many postings can be considered as spam, but they really should have an exception for letting creators make as many comments as they want in threads of games that they developed. I would doubt that you are the only one ever hit by this.

I was worried his account was suspended due to some adult content issues. This had me worried not just about future updates and other future titles, but for silencing a creator dedicated to their fans.

While I'm glad itch has an anti spam bot, I'm saddened it has affected someone for responding to his many grateful fans.

I'll be happy when everything is resolved and his creator page is restored.

Anyone know how I can unlock the last two scenes on page 6 of the gallery?

The first one looks  like its Jessica by the pool in a bikini. I played  the scene but didn't really get an option... Is this because I chose Skylar over her in the first chapters?

The last one is Valerie? (I'm not sure) on the couch. I have no clue at all how to reach this scene. (I have finished the current version of the game) And it appears to be in chapter 6.

I just got this game. I liked it and paid for it and got the gallery password.

Where do I actually paste the password in game? Do I have to finish it first (I've only downloaded Season 1 so far and played about half) Does it matter that I am using linux?

Just an educated guess... Do you have an older version of windows? Some older versions have a file size limitation of 4.7GB. 

Another possible cause is if you are saving the file to a FAT formatted drive (often USB drives use this.) A NTFS formatted drive should allow for a larger file.

Linux and Mac would also have the same problems with FAT drives. ext3/4 drives on linux would be fine. (I'm not sure of the specifics on Mac)

Usually checking the properties of a drive will tell you what format (FAT/NTFS/Ext4/others) exists on that drive.

Is there a problem with the linux download of the latest release?

I try to download Season2 (0.11). The browser seems to start the download then after a short period the download stops and I get the error message of "File wasn't available on site" 

Note: I was able to download the linux version S2 (0.10) a few months ago without a problem.

Yes, when I bought it a month ago, I was allowed to download both.

I should note that I already owned the game on steam and did not need season 1. I paid the $10 plus a tip just for season 2.
