Thank you! i never actually thought of the "touch grass" joke the whole time while making the game but now that you told me it, it makes the game pretty funny to me and kinda makes sense too!

Remade the whole game, with a new tile system, added an editor to change tiles, no collisions yet. I will post this update onto the submissions.

i believe being unproductive (what the jam wants you to be) allows you to make a game look like it was made unproductive therefore allows you to use different artistic techniques on every sprite because thats unproductive. just because you dont like how some people are making their games look doesnt mean you have to criticize it. thats just my opinion, but this comment might be too diffucult to process for you as a reader, and may effect your brains performance. For these reasons, its important to read what the jam is about and consider that different artistic techniques may correlate to the game jam's theme.

but if anything the game will be better and have music etc

remaking the whole game because the tile generation i was using doesnt allow collisions for the type of player i was making

being unproductive or making sprites or music from a single thing if you look at other things people are doing in the community tab and the images in the overview i think you'll understand it better

Randomly generated world player movement and camera movement. ill post it on the game jam submissions but its not done yet.

Basic camera movement and tile placement.

Random tile generation complete

im making a topdown rpg game where all the sprites are just recolored pictures of grass.
