Hello! Thank you so much for playing our game! (also sorry for the really late response)

There had to be something to make the game stand out when it comes to voice acting, so we thought that was the best option for those extra style points.

When it comes to enemies and their pathfinding, it's an issue that I didn't see to be such a prevalent problem. Although I didn't do any of the main programming for the game, I will certainly keep this in mind for future projects!

Again, thank you so much for trying out the game.

Thank you so much for playing! It's very ironic that (from what I remember) room 1 was much bigger and room 2 was much smaller in its initial 3D model, but look at where they ended up (xD).  We ran out of time, but we wanted to add a few new variants of enemies that spiced gameplay up a little bit more. In the future, when developing games solo or with a group, I believe the first thing that should now be prioritized is the implementation of mechanics.

Again, thank you so much for your feedback and for playing the game!

Thank you so much for the feedback! I admit, that it was a bit difficult to handle the sound issues (Particularly with Dr. Pepe), but I still believe it works smoothly regarding overall gameplay.
Writing Dr. Pepe's voice lines was fun, as it gave me an excuse to play the entirety of Sonic Colors (not only is it my favorite Sonic Game, but Dr. Pepe is easily supposed to be a slightly more humbled version of Dr. Robotnik) again.

Really good submission, I enjoyed myself!
To me, it's certainly a difficult side-scrolling bullet hell. Overall, the only problem I'd say is huge in volume and SFX management. If there was a way to turn it down, then it would be a good touch.

._.

Thank you!

Also, when it came to the Insulam arc, was written during the middle of the production of Isiquoko. I'm really bad at art, so I used some of the assets from there, including the peasants. I promise nothing was meant to be racist but I'll change it.

I really the game! I found its difficulty curve increasing as the game progressed to be smooth. The only thing I'd ask for is an indicator that you're out of double jumps (Unless there is and I'm just blind)

W Game nonetheless :D

(1 edit)

99 days ago, I proposed our game, Fish Piece, to the world of Itch.io for the first time, and now I am returning to do it once more.

Since then, much more content has been added (and currently players get a special "gift" when they join in).

Fish Piece is about a young child, Ronan, and his adventures with his fisherman crew. Under the wing of his big brother, Lachlan, with a surplus of other interesting crew members, he sails across the seas, exploring old and new islands. One day, a giant whale attacks the crew, and eats the entire crew, leaving Ronan stranded on an island.

Follow Ronan as he travels from island to island, collecting crew members of his crew dominating the seas, and gaining notoriety. However, with his notoriety, he also gains infamy from a certain group.

If you find this project to be interesting, please give us some advice/ideas, we'd love to hear new minds with new ideas.

Thanks for playing, and happy travels!

P.S. A little fan service:

Ah yes, fishing.

One of the cutscenes in 'le game Fish Piece

Hey there! Welcome to Fish Piece: a One Piece-inspired game.

This game is a top-down RPG that contains a rich cast of characters, dialogue, and story. The main gameplay involves fishing and exploring islands to save your big brother (Lachlan)  who's been eaten by a big whale numerous years ago.

I know, out of everything to make an OP game about, why'd I decide to do fishing? Well, I firmly believe anything can be good if you give it a good story and gameplay (working on the latter :) ).

Give it a shot; I'm sure you'll be happy with where we've gotten.

I will say first though, FP's development is in the pre-alpha state; only three of the areas are finished yet gameplay-wise, with many other islands being WIP.
