I'm glad you enjoyed the experience!
Also yeah, haha, totally a complete coincidence I submitted with less than ten minutes left, nothing to read into there at all... ;P
I assume this is fine, but just to check - Is it alright if I photoshop my own images to resemble AI in order to poke fun at AI generated art/games? I can provide a devlog of the process if needed to prove I did the work.
Also, are you allowed to have aspects of the game that are interactable but are not a choice, like the ability to expand a list or click on a link to reveal an image? Or are we limited to no interaction other than the advance prompt and one choice?
Hi! Thanks for the feedback, you make a lot of good points. I'm going to add the speed change feature to the instructions on the store page so others don't end up missing it like you did.
The font was actually one of the things I really wanted to change, but I ran out of time. It was a preset that came with the UI, and instead of uploading a different font I would have had to manually go in and change all the individual sprites for every letter/punctuation mark, which wasn't feasible for me. After the jam I may go in and adjust it, but it's less of a priority.
After some research, it looks like the Alt-Tab thing is a known issue with the engine. I'll have to keep that in mind if I use this software again, thanks for bringing it up. I don't seem to be having problems on Windows 10, but that's something I definitely want to find a solution for in the future.
I'm glad you enjoyed my game! I'm afraid I can't take much credit for the heads-up system itself; I'm not much of a coder and the UI I used was a preset with the software I made the game on (Adventure Game Studio). But for my first game, I certainly learned a lot, I can't wait to start my next project!
Hello everyone,
I made a small point-and-click adventure about escaping a witch's candy house. I had a lot of fun making it, and I hope you all enjoy it!
