game no work for me :(

i like the fact you like the exit button

:)

:))

all games should end in a goof

Thank you very much for the nice review!

and yeah, a tutorial & more levels would've been great, but i am not that good at time management unfortunately.

Either way, thank you <3

no you didn't... i would NEVER rickroll anyone!!

What a weird bug! I was going to claim that it was a feature, but no, it's actually genuinely a bug!!!

it's very weird...

very yes

haha yes

The UI animations were really smooth, and the music was a bop.

One thing though, the tutorial was very in-your-face, in other words, it covered half of the screen, and it should really be visible at the first time the game is played, in any plays after that the player should click a "Show Tutorial" button or something.

Also, my short-term memory is shorter than a fish's, and i assume a lot of people are like me, and so it'd be great if you added like a "Current objective" indicator, where the thing you need to interact with is highlighted, so you know what you need to do faster.

Lastly, the player has to be exactly in-front of something interactable in order to be able to interact with it, more room would've been appreciated.

PS: I HATE LINUX.

haha yes

thanks for the nice review

quick tip though, there's no need to include the link to your game, as the game you submitted appears under your name in your review

best of luck!

The game is very misleading! in this game i got a girlfriend, but that did not happen IRL. Very very disappointed. I expected more from you!! :P

Shoot was i too gloomy? thanks for the comment xD

Really really great. The twist on the theme is unique, overall, the game gets a rating of WOWIE/10

Yeah, my game is probably not for everyone, it's a bit confusing because of the lack of a tutorial. An original soundtrack as a bgm was unfeasible cuz of the time restriction, that and the fact i'm more of a programmer than a composer. Speaking of being more of a programmer, the art was bad and i switched between pixel art and regular art, the buttons did not look like buttons, the ending goal was supposed to look like cat food but it was unidentifiable :(

As for the people reading that consider my game a virus for opening a tab: Unless that tab is a virus i'm not considering my game a virus. You can think otherwise if you wish but know that this is subjective and i won't personally agree with your opinion.

really great, the WOWIE sound effect was a bit too loud, different guns should have different sound effects, and the theme was on collaborating with AI, not imprisoning it, which still works a bit, but it's not quite as on topic

haha yes

Your suggestion will be remembered, thanks

:D

haha yes

germany

i'm not a bad person.. i just like a song a lot and wanted you to take a listen to it...

:)

Will do!

Never should you send a link, Never should you rickroll me, Never should you do that without being clever

I'm sorry you had to go through that

my game is only for windows because i'm a silly sausage, any software that emulates Windows probably won't work quite as well

i will make future games a web build as an apology to you.

savage is a strong word!

i would use "funny", "fun", "extremely infuriating" instead

(if you can't tell this entire comment is trying to be ironic)

i appreciate the love <3

ah shoot  i'm sorry man

Exactly what you think of when you hear "Game Jam", Great job!

The gun reverses aim when you look left, and the player speaking sounds awful, but other than that, it's not bad at all

if you hate rickrolls so much don't play games made by me xD

there's plenty where the 2 rickrolls came from!

yeah, everyone listen to the maise guy

no cheekiness involved

You can see the virtual world from the real one, and you can also transition from the virtual world to the real one after the keycoded section, but all in all, not bad

The game's incredible. the last bossfight's bg did lack a bit, the fact that when you climb a ladder you move up in a very smooth way is weird, but overall, the game's incredible.

(1 edit)

at least i'm on topic :sunglasses:

*does happy dance*

lol :)

add some checkpoints.

Before anything, i want it clear that i want you to improve, not quit, and that my criticism is not meant to offend anyone. PS: The list is from least important to most important:

First off, the lighting in the first level gets duplicated whenever you die, in the screenshot below, i died 7 or so times, and as you can see, i cannot see a thing because of the duplicated lighting

Secondly, in the second level, there are holes in the ground that when you fall through, the level does not reset. That wouldn't be a problem if the "R" key restarted the level you're on, but you did not implement that, so the only thing you can do is close the game, and reopen it, starting you at level 1

Thirdly, in the first level, there is a chance that the box that teleports you to the second level won't work, and you'd just collide with it and nothing would happen.

Fourthly, if you press the up arrow with the left arrow, you double the speed of the player, allowing you to jump way further than you should, making some levels insultingly easier than usual.
