The UI animations were really smooth, and the music was a bop.
One thing though, the tutorial was very in-your-face, in other words, it covered half of the screen, and it should really be visible at the first time the game is played, in any plays after that the player should click a "Show Tutorial" button or something.
Also, my short-term memory is shorter than a fish's, and i assume a lot of people are like me, and so it'd be great if you added like a "Current objective" indicator, where the thing you need to interact with is highlighted, so you know what you need to do faster.
Lastly, the player has to be exactly in-front of something interactable in order to be able to interact with it, more room would've been appreciated.
PS: I HATE LINUX.
Yeah, my game is probably not for everyone, it's a bit confusing because of the lack of a tutorial. An original soundtrack as a bgm was unfeasible cuz of the time restriction, that and the fact i'm more of a programmer than a composer. Speaking of being more of a programmer, the art was bad and i switched between pixel art and regular art, the buttons did not look like buttons, the ending goal was supposed to look like cat food but it was unidentifiable :(
As for the people reading that consider my game a virus for opening a tab: Unless that tab is a virus i'm not considering my game a virus. You can think otherwise if you wish but know that this is subjective and i won't personally agree with your opinion.
Before anything, i want it clear that i want you to improve, not quit, and that my criticism is not meant to offend anyone. PS: The list is from least important to most important:
First off, the lighting in the first level gets duplicated whenever you die, in the screenshot below, i died 7 or so times, and as you can see, i cannot see a thing because of the duplicated lighting
Secondly, in the second level, there are holes in the ground that when you fall through, the level does not reset. That wouldn't be a problem if the "R" key restarted the level you're on, but you did not implement that, so the only thing you can do is close the game, and reopen it, starting you at level 1
Thirdly, in the first level, there is a chance that the box that teleports you to the second level won't work, and you'd just collide with it and nothing would happen.
Fourthly, if you press the up arrow with the left arrow, you double the speed of the player, allowing you to jump way further than you should, making some levels insultingly easier than usual.
